Hi there everyone

Today I purchased The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien.
Cant wait to start it.
Have any of you read the book?
I just want to know your views on it.
P.s is there a forum to discuss about books, literature, etc. If not, will there be one in the future?

Yes, I read the Hobbit years ago and several times since; then followed up with the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. Loved all four books! Also loved the first two movies...can't wait for The Return of the King to open next month.

Yeah I read the Hobbit back in Jr. High school or something.. followed quickly by the Lord of the Eings books.

Yep!
I love the Hobbit and LOTR, having read the first back in grade school and the trilogy in middle.
I'm completely addicted to them (and to the movies now...I'm a little nuts about the series).
Note: If you're reading them: Watch out! You may start talking/writing in Tolkien's style.

I myself have just dicovered the world of J.R.R. Tolkien. I loved them so much that i was through them in 3 weeks. Which is pretty good for me it usually takes me months to read a book. I hope you enjoy them as much as i did. The only thing i regret is that it took my so long to dicover them. Happy reading

Moondreamer if i may make a suggestion. (That is if you already haven't read them) try reading Harry Potter. I loved them and patiently waiting for the next book. Anyways happy reading. Stargazer
