Is it just me, or does creating new viruses, some of them meant to kill other organisms, seem, well, insanely dangerous in some ways? I guess all scientific advances have been looked upon as suspicious and potentially harmful throughout the ages, so I suppose this one may not lead to disaster. Still, viruses can be a little scary (ie Aids, Ebola, SARS, influenza, etc.) Of course, they aren't trying to invent diseases. At least, as far as we know, they aren't. What does everyone else think?
