I know that we had a thread on whether or not anyone's ever said that you look like a famous person, but has anyone ever said (or do you think personally) that you resemble in action or personality a character in a movie or book? I ask because I'm at work right now, and we're watching a "Finding Nemo" (because it's a slow, slow Friday...yes, I'm getting paid for this), and I remembered that when watching this in the theatre both Jason and my brother turned to me and said, "Ohmygod, Corri - it's you!" when Ellen DeGeneres' character, Dori, said, "I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine, and he shall be my Squishy," in reference to a jellyfish.
OK, so I'm bored. IP: Logged |

Can't believe I'm going to admit this, but...A Leo friend and I (when I was about 14 and she was 16) used to compare ourselves to Anne (me) and Diana (her) from Anne of Green Gables. And, when I was about 17, a Capricorn guy I used to date on-and-off apparently used to compare us to Ross and Rachel from Friends. Well, Jennifer Aniston *is* an Aquarius. Fun topic. But I never saw Finding Nemo IP: Logged |

Well, now I don't feel so bad about the Dori reference. (j/k) It's really worth seeing - beautiful graphics and family-friendly funny the whole way through. *giggles* I'm writing this on a gigantic smartboard (I'm doing a "special event" today). IP: Logged |

Funny, FINDING NEMO was the first movie I brought my daughter to see in the *Big* theatre. She walked in, looked around, and said "WWWWOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!!" It was sweet. I think I enjoyed the movie more than she or her daddy did. About the reference, I think that is the perfect reference to you, based on how you write, and the things you say about yourself. Except, I'd wager you're a wee bit smarter....... I had a man a few years ago liken me to "Belle", from Beauty and the Beast..... Although I think that was due to the fact that he wanted to get in my pants, and had ego issues. I hope he feels better about himself now! I certainly didn't take it to heart, but it was nice.IP: Logged |

I am the walrus. coo coo ca chew. Oh, I look nothing like a walrus, but I guess I thought that was witty on a gray Saturday afternoon! I don't think anyone has ever compared me to a character, but if I could pick one, I think I'd like to be like part Calvin, part Hobbes...though they were really one and the same, weren't they? Ok, I use to totally see myself and my Virgo ex in Dharma and Greg (his name is Greg too )...I mean, my parents aren't quite as trippy as hers are, but other than that, it's very simular. True!IP: Logged |

LOL....Okay so this may be saying a lot. LOL.. After watching Shrek, my Leo dude turns to me and says.......Look Shrek must be a Leo and the Donkey must be a Saggie. LOL....I turned to him and said 'Are you saying that you are a total Ogre and I must be jacka$$." LOL
I do like to annoy him like that though....my favorite questions, which used to make him just want to scream was "Hmmm do ugly people know their ugly? and what makes a person ugly? How do blind people put on makeup?" IP: Logged |

And a Gemini would've said in response, "I don't know - do they?" (even though it wouldn't be warranted at all ).re: Dori: Aw, c'mon - I think that you've underestimated her. She does know whale, after all. I know I that I don't. re: Dharma & Greg - Do you mean that you're not the ultra-straight-laced business type? I never would've guessed. IP: Logged |
