*DELETED!Everthing else's fine, though - thankya for asking. Guess what!
Next Tuesday me n' the in-laws fly out to Oklahoma for Jase's Graduation! And then it's off to Ohio to see their family until the 22nd
I'm kinda veging right now, though, when I'm not at work. I've a little case of the sniffles, and don't want it to progress any by next week. ______________ But as far as things that make me go "ew..." I think that I'll bounce offa yours and say, "When you're walking in the summer and a bug flies into your mouth while your talking."

Ewww: today is stepping in an ice cold slimey furball on the way to the kitchen... hopping on one foot dodging the culprit, running into the side of the fridge, slipping in a juicy puddle of bile and almost peeing my pants. Next time I`ll turn a light on first juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

It's a quilt. (you know, with a top and a bottom, stuffed with feathers or batting or whatever). You don't use that word too much down there, hey? I guess that's the French influence in Canada. The odd French word or phrase has taken permanent residence in the English Canadian's vocabulary. IP: Logged |

lioneye - Jus' fancy-pants call 'em "duvets" down in these parts. Eh, it has to do with that Cancer/Cancer/Virgo person that I had a thing with 2 1/2 years back being creepy and referencing an e-mail from back then. I wouldn't've even caught it unless I went to go clean out the hotmail acct. that I never use anymore (that's the only address of mine he has). Ewww. IP: Logged |

-laughing- It is amazing the difference between Canadian and American usages of the English language. When I first moved to Canada, lo those many moons ago, I didn't understand half of what people said to me and they didn't get my message either.Example: Canadian - Wow, I got really ****** last night. Me - Really...why? Canadian (looking at me like I was from another planet) - Ummm, because I was drinking. Me - Oh, you get ****** when you drink? I know a few people who react like that. Canadian (now looking confused) - Well, everyone gets ****** if they drink enough. Me - I don't usually drink all that much, but I really never get ****** ...just goofy and happy. Canadian - I was goofy and happy. What does that have to do with being ****** ? Me - How can you be angry and happy at the same time? Canadian - Who said anything about being angry? Me - Well, you did. You said you were ****** . Canadian - Sure, but I didn't asy anything about being angry. Finally, we figured it out. I thought ****** meant mad, as in ****** off. In Canada, ****** just means someone had a few too many drinks (in other words, slightly drunk). Then there were toques and runners and duvets (meaning sock hats, tennis shoes, and comforters). The list goes on. I am now pretty much bi-lingual...I speak both Canadian and American. IP: Logged |

Wow, sorry everyone. I didn't realize the word *issed (as in *issed off) was a curse word. Perhaps I don't speak either language as well as I thought. right on, Harpyr...at least I'm not the only one. IP: Logged |

I think we are a little weird but in a quirky way. Who else would use old corks attached to hats to keep the flys away? Have you ever tried to eat a spoonful of vegemite?? I love it on toast but. Our men are obsessed with holden or fords, beer and football. The women have a little more class Our kids grow up with bare feet and sunburn. ------------------ ~Everything comes too late, to him who waits~ AG Stephens IP: Logged |
