Do we already have a string on this? Hmm? Maybe? No? Really? Then it's up to me, I suppose...DID YOU SEE IT??? DID YOU LIKE IT??? TELL US ABOUT IT!!! For myself, I have about a gazillion quibbles and problems and objections. Obviously I have to see it again to really judge; the first time I am always so busy noticing what they changed or left out that I can't enjoy it. I almost cried when the eagles showed up. I've never been a big Orlando Bloom fan, but I have to admit he looked pretty good in his coronation outfit. But you know who I think are really sexy? Sauron's Uruk-hai! (just kidding ) It's rather too bad about everything they cut. There are so many great moments in RotK, and only a few of them made it in. ------------------ Hello everybody! QOS what the hay are ya talking anout? who`s Orlando Bloom? Especially, who is Sauron's Uruk-hai? Eagles? The flying kind or the beloved band? Guess I`d better start watching the news, reading Mad magazine or just taking some time to get 'cool' juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

juniperb, you are sooo cool! He's talking about the latest Lord of the Rings movie, "The Return of the King." Loved it loved it loved it. I laughed, I cringed, I cried. More of an ensemble piece than any of the others, it still fleshed out all of its characters. An amazing feat for Peter Jackson, to stay true to such complicated, complex books and turn them into three wonderful films. Kudos to him for making the epic of the century, it will be a long long time, I think, till we see its equal. Oh, and loved that the let little Sam shine so brightly in this final film. Viggo is still, to me, the sexiest man in the trilogy. But hey, any movie starring loads of strong men with long hair, a noble cause and reallllly big... swords is a winner in my book. IP: Logged |

We saw it Friday and are going again today. While I also noticed some things missing, I wouldn't be surprised if they were added back in when the DVD comes out. All in all, it was magnificent. I was just swept away! The best of the LOTR Trilogy, IMHO. The scenery alone was breathtaking...add to that the music, the special effects, the deepening of the characters, the INTENSITY...and you've got one superb film! And Aragorn...this is for you. It was great. We had to drive an hour through winding mountain roads covered with snow to get to a town with a theatre. Well worth it. QoS...I have both the other extended DVD's. If you are a Tolkien fan, you should check them out.IP: Logged |
