WOW!!!! What amazing news.I don't know if this makes a difference or not, but my husband has a story, and I think I will share it. His best friends... He was I guess eighteen, and himself were driving country roads, going to visit one of their brothers in the hospital, he had just had a minor surgery. The four of them were in a car, my husband in the backseat. He had called shotgun, but someone beat him to it, so he was 'stuck' in the back. His best friend was driving.. they had grown up together. The road was straight, but the line on the oncoming traffic branched off into a separate turning lane, then ended. A man came toward them, doing way more than the speed limit, and rather than following the road line, he followed the turning line, as he had been drinking. My husband's friends barely had time to move, as the oncoming car smashed into them, over 90 miles an hour, head on. The driver, his best friend, swerved, and caught the majority of the impact directly. His best friend died... it took a while, at the scene, and my husband said it was horrific, and in his shock, he barely registered what was going on. The guy in the front passenger seat needed extensive surgery and had many broken bones. The friend next to my husband in the back seat also needed much physiotherapy and was a total wreck. My husband was absolutely fine. The only thing wrong with him was a bruise across his belly where the seatbelt had been driven, and some gas from the force of it. He had intense survivor's guilt. He was the only one untouched, and his best friend died, on the way to see his brother in hospital. This has impacted him greatly. It isn't something he talks about often, and when he sees those surviving friends, you can see the struggle in his eyes. He feels indebted to these people. The driver of the other car? He was an alcoholic. Got his license suspended, and a slap on the wrist, even though it was completely his fault. In fact, he is a professional truck driver. I am so glad this little boy is okay. I know it will be hard for him, considering the severity of the crash. I hope he has people around him to help him through the guilt he will feel. He will. But he survived for a reason. His life's plan has many more joys for him, as well as heartaches. I am supremely happy for his mother, so happy I just want to cry! THank YOU for sharing this wonderful news. IP: Logged |

Thanks Trillian, I certainly think so, my daughter thinks so, and anyone who has ever met him thinks so. He is a supremely great person, you just know it when you meet him. Vibes like you, and Proxie, for example. Like---there's no hiding it, you know? That kind of sincerity is apparent. He deserves all the best in life.IP: Logged |

Wow, Pixie...that must have changed him to the very core. Well, obviously. I'm finding it interesting that both your husband and Gavin are Aries, and they had simular experiences. The young gal who survived didn't even lose consciousness. She was up and alert at the scene, and understandably hysterical. It's alot to digest. Hopefully both her and Gavin's psyche will be merciful and black this experience out of their memories. I feel for your husband and what he's been through. He could definately relate to Gavin's experience. Did you tell him about it? IP: Logged |

Great to know that Gavin is out of danger. I'm sure very soon he'll be completely fit.Pixelpixie: I'm sure your husband also agrees with everyone around him. Probably, somewhere at the back of his mind he'll be thankful too. IP: Logged | |
