Hey, Pid! Did you happen to notice that orb of white light in your "new horse" picture at the LL-Joints site? Did you know that that's what paranormal investigators often get on film in places that are known to have hauntings or ghostly activity? Yup, those orbs are commonly accepted in the paranormal community as how ghosts appear in photographs.Do peculiar things tend to happen at that farm? Who's farm is it? Or maybe that's your granny, following you around to keep you safe, and decided to pose for the photo-op...(being a Leo afterall. LOL) Anyway, I think it's UBER COOL!! http://groups.msn.com/_Secure/0TgDeAocXsJv*veMdy2fBS7asdL1LJmGz8asX8fV jQmoXShJ*mGyRHSCA3h9Xng6PfSFFqun98 IP: Logged |

Orbs!Yes, some think those are ghosts, there are lots of cool websites about them. I was part of a large September 11th Memorial the year after it happened. We took some amazing photos of the speakers and the crowd. During a procession of some of our armed forces, police officers, etc., one in particular stood out, in which there were many orbs that were red, white and blue. Other pics at the same time had no such orbs, and there was only low lighint, no colored lights in the area at all. It was literally spine-tingling. I'll have to see if we still have it, and I'll post it if we do. IP: Logged |

Hi Lioneye, I didn't even know that there was an orb in the picture. I can't believe I didn't notice it at all - even when posting the picture. I didn't take the pictures, my uncle did on his digital. Wow, now that I am looking through the rest of the pics and found another one with them everywhere. The farm is in Kansas - outside of Manhatten. My uncle purchased the land from a long time friend that has since died. My grandmother LOVED that farm and he moved out there about 5 years ago. She visted him twice before she died and just dearly loved the view and the animals. One of the horses is named "Lorcie" Which is German for Florence - her name. My great-grandfather used to call her that all the time. When she was little she broke her back playing tag and they said she would never walk again let alone ever have kids. She proved them wrong and only had a little hump where the bone mended weird in her back. Well, Lorcie - the horse - she came into the world and had to fight. Part of her ear had to be removed because of an infection and my uncle was so distraught. I told him I would take her, because she was perfect to me. My mom said to name her Lorcie, like granny, because she would be a survivor and a little imperfection never hurt anyone. I'll find out more information about the farm itself. I think there was also a baby horse that was stillborn or died right after birth. His momma is the one that gave birth to one of the newbies. So maybe that is his spirit. IP: Logged |

Nothing spooky on those pictures. These white orbits always appear on the pictures when there were drops of water (rain, ect) or dust on the camera lens during the picture taking..IP: Logged |

Jazzabelle, do you have much experience with digital cams?We use them where I work a lot, and there are no drops of water on them when photos with orbs are taken. Often, a pic is taken in which orbs appear, followed by one taken moments later with no orbs. It's weird, but no, not due to drops of water. No one knows for sure what they are: http://theshadowlands.net/ghost/orbs.htm These folks are pretty convinced: http://www.ukghost.com/spirit_orbs.html

Trillian, Hey chickie, how are you? Well, you are right about the sequence of pictures!! Pictures number 1 and 3 have orbs, while number 2 does not (taken on 4/08)-neither does the last picture which was taken on 4/25. I still haven't talked to my mom, but I'll find out the poop on the farm. IP: Logged |

"find out the poop on the farm" What a great double entendre, pid!I'm doing great! How about you? Great holiday? Only time for a brief response, no time to really catch up on LL this a.m., I headed down to the D.C. area (my old haunting grounds!) to visit some friends... Have a wonderful weekend pid, LTD and everyone and next week I'll see if I can round up that pic I spoke of earlier. IP: Logged |

I looked at the pics right after she posted them and noticed the orb. My sense was of love. The horses are so healthy and cared for they glow. I felt it was happy spirits who loved the horses and the land. So, it is Granny and I sense yes, the baby colts spirit is there with her. Beautiful!! juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |
