Bugger.. I hope that's not the apex because that means I'll have to wait until next month to trim my hair.. I'm too late. *sigh*IP: Logged |

I think that that time that you gave might be the moonrise time cause I believe that the apex is when the moon as it's highest point in the sky. I called some people that I know, that might know but no dice yet. I would thing that it would be at it's hightest some time around midnight or maybe a couple of hours before that.Oh you know what. If we have the moonrise time of today and the moon set time of tomorrow morning, then perhaps it could be calculated: the midpoint of that time. IP: Logged |

*SIGH* Looks like we missed the apex. A fellow by the name of Jimmy at the Phsyics Forum said that since it's the new moon, it's Very close to the sun, therefore when the sun is at it's apex.. around noon whereever you are..then the moon is right there with it. I feel kinda silly for not realizing that one meeeself. Ah well.. So it looks like we missed it this month. There's always next month I suppose.. I'm marking it on my calendar this time. He also referred me to this resource for checking out astronomical data. Astronomical Applications Department *click on Data Services* IP: Logged |

Oh, well, I missed it by 12 hours. Well today is the new moon too so perhaps the apex would be the combination of the two new moon days, and the apex of those. Anyway, I cut my hair around 12:18am. IP: Logged |
