* Cancer (June 22- July 22): Cancers crave comfort food. They want their meals served in a warm kitchen, right next to the stove.

* Leo (July 23- Aug. 22): Leos prefer big parties and adore having plenty of helpers to boss around. This is another fire sign, so a backyard barbecue is a perfect Leo fete.

* Virgo (Aug. 23- Sept. 22): Virgos, anxious and detail-oriented, like their food in bite-size pieces. Salade niçoise is a good bet--but only if the vegetables are organic and the olive oil is certified extra-virgin.

* Libra (Sept. 23- Oct. 22): Because this sign
is so social, the ambience of a meal is as important to Libras as the cooking. They'll appreciate floating island served in a cut-glass bowl with a silver ladle.

* Scorpio (Oct. 23- Nov. 22): Scorpios are secretive, so they like food that is wrapped up. Try tamales and spring rolls.

* Sagittarius (Nov. 23- Dec. 22): Sagittarians love the exotic but may not love to cook. Serve them Peruvian dried potatoes or smoked kangaroo tail and they'll be happy.

* Capricorn (Dec. 23- Jan. 20): Capricorns will go only to the most talked-about restaurants and order only the best cuts of meat. They dote on expensive, showy foods--caviar, foie gras, lobster.

* Pisces (Feb. 20- March 20): This is the quintessential water sign, so Pisceans love seafood--or any food, such as watercress, that comes from a watery source.

* Aries (March 21- April 20): Arians prefer simple foods but, because this is a fire sign, spiced up--macaroni and cheese, for instance, with lots of chile peppers.

* Taurus (April 21- May 21): Taureans long to involve all their senses when they eat. A golden mango, slowly pared and sliced, its aroma filling the room, is their idea of heaven.

I also relate to Cancer, in that I want my meal served on a HOT plate, steaming hot, in a warm kitchen, no doubt

I also LOVE to eat with my fingers. I like to eat things like shrimp, lobster, crab, meals that are fun to pick apart and eat. I have NEVER liked getting my face dirty, like by eating ribs, but I don't mind my fingers.

I also eat pretty slow. That used to drive my Leo nuts because he used to eat fast, like a cave man....chewing his meat LOL.

My family has always eating with our hands, at least on my father's side. Could be because of the Spanish tendency to use tortillas or date back to the American Indian blood where utensils were just unheard of LOL...
