Did any of the rest of ya'll who've been pregnant have any truly bizarro pregnancy symptoms?Oi. I have. I've not gotten any of the other random pigmentation that I've read about happening in pregnancy (not even a linea nigra), except on my chest. I don't know what's up down there. My *entire breast area*, in a slightly splotchy manner, seems to think that it's summer, while the rest of me is as pale as a buttercup (that is to say: my breast area is as tan as I ever get- which is pretty tan -, and the rest of me is Irish-in-the-winter white). So, I repeat: Has anyone else had this sort of thing happen? I'm not freaked out by it or anything...it just never ceases to amaze me. IP: Logged |

noo.. you're not the only one..You should be greatful that your splotchyness is concealed from the public.. For a month or so of my pregnancy I had weird red splotches on my arms and face from time to time. I didn't want to leave the house. IP: Logged |

Well, they're kinda concealed, anyway - have you seen how low-cut maternity blouses are for some unearthly reason? And my chest is currently busting out of a DD cup...there's a lot there to show, y'know?IP: Logged |

Yeah, for most women thats the only time in their life they will be so well-endowed, so I guess the trends reflect that! Besides, it would draw the eye away from the round belly.. maybe it is on purpose.. As far as the wierd discolouration goes... Maybe it is 'the mask of pregnancy' chlo/plasia something, I can't remember the medical term, but I don't think any of us are medical residents, so it won't matter .... Hopefully it is just one of those things due to hormones, and it'll go away shortly after. My sympathies dear Proxieme, enjoy it, it could be worse, right? IP: Logged |

I don't think that happened to me, Prox. I DID get numorous blemishes though, which made me hate my skin. I have some preggo pictures that are absolutely hideous! Don't know why I keep them. I guess just to prove I really did bare a child, incase someone doubted it. LOLIP: Logged | |
