I dream of going to the Southern states one day..........Louisiana, Alabama, etc. I've been to Florida (Miami) but that's not what I mean........

....I dream of a sleepy southern town with weeping willow trees where there's nothing to do but sit around and be lazy........

Please tell me about the South, someone?

It sounds like you're looking more toward Louisiana. It's very peaceful in some places, it's great. You might be able to find places like that here in Texas but I've never seen them. Mostly woodlands and desert-like areas here where I live.

Hmmm......Mobile, Alabama is beautiful, so is all of South Louisiana (Cajun Country). Spanish Moss hanging from old Cypress trees, Antebellum homes mysteriously tucked away from the main stream....or the old French Quarter in New Orleans (away from the touristy garbage). The Antebellum homes and their gardens in Alabama will take your breath away.

I was thinking of going to New Orleans this summer, however I have been seeing a Chiropractor now so I don't foresee affording a vacation in the near future.
