Hey, I've taken 4.5 years of French language, including a grammar class this semester, and wondered of anyone else out there was as into French too?I think it'd be fun to post back and forth a few times here if we had a couple more people that understood it, as no one else I know around me does... ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

Actually, MD, you're pretty on target... The first sentance you translated correctly; the final sentance says "I love to speak with you alot". Still, I'm impressed, considering you claimed to know very little french.PS: if you're wondering, I'll translate the whole post: "Yes, I know it is a little impolite, but it (speaking in french) is not a problem if we say nice things. I love French culture, and the language is more beautiful than English too. I have some french blood in my ancestry, and that is why this interests me. Thank you, my friends, for your paticipation. I love to talk with you alot." Hope that helps, MD. ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

LOL, ya I asked, isn't it impolite to speak a foreign language around those who don't speak it, VAA accurately pointed out that so long as we're speaking about nice things, it's should be fine.I just recall, when living in hostels in HI during my travels, the German and Japanese tourists would sit in a packed common room full of English speakers speaking German or Japanese, and it leaves the whole room wondering, what in the heck are they talking about that they can't say it in English? (cause they DID know English quite fluently) Je vais avoir plaisir à avoir l'occasion de parler français à d'autres ! IP: Logged |

J'utilise le traducteur d'Altavista pour vérifier mon travail, alors j'utilise leur clavier du monde pour changer les lettres appropriée son accentué, puis je découpe et je déplace. C'est aider moi, alors je puisse être certaine que je parle français correctement. www.altavista.com Clique sur "translator" Alternately, you could do what I do for french homework, load all the accents into a MS Word document via "Add/Symbol", then you cut and paste them as needed (can be time consuming though). Then paste the message into your post. ------------------ “The good things which belong to prosperity are to be wished, but the good things that belong to adversity are to be admired.” Seneca IP: Logged |
