HI RANDALL- NOT SURE IF I SHOULD BE ADDRESSING THIS TO YOU OR MAYBE ANOTHER MODERATOR BUT I RECENTLY CLICKED ON MY PROFILE TO UPDATE IT AND I SAW NEXT TO "HOMEPAGE" THAT THERE WAS AN X-RATED LINK! FIRST OF ALL, I DON'T EVEN HAVE A HOME PAGE, NEVER MIND AN X-RATED ONE, BUT SECONDLY, WHO ON EARTH (AND HOW ON EARTH) WOULD ADD SUCH A THING TO MY PROFILE?? DO I HAVE SOME UNKNOWN ENEMY OR IS THIS JUST A FLUKE HACKING? THEN AGAIN, WHO'D WASTE THEIR TIME HACKING INTO LINDA-LAND FOR SUCH A TRIVIAL PURSUIT? HOW DO YOU THINK THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED? I HAVE SINCE MODIFIED MY PROFILE BUT WHO'S TO SAY THAT TOMORROW I WON'T FIND SOME OTHER OBSCENE LINK? PLEASE HELP! (IF POSSIBLE). THANKS!!! IP: Logged |

Sounds to me like you've got spyware on your computer. It automatically fills in the blanks for you. Spyware and adware is becoming a real nuisance for me, too. I've bought 2 programs to help get rid of it, but I'm still having problems. Something similar has happened to me at other sites.IP: Logged |

Download Ad-aware. It's free. You'll be surprised at how much Spyware you pick up by just being online. Ad-aware will take care of it.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Adaware is a great program. Here's a link to download it. http://download.com.com/3000-8022-10214379.html?tag=lst-0-7 IP: Logged |

Most Spyware is of the Data Miner variety, but it sounds like you have a Registry File contaminated. Ad-aware will find it and squash it. I like it because it's super fast with the scan (unlike most other Spyware programs). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I should start cleaning out my computer's junk. Sometimes my browser will suddenly take me to MSN.com or some software site. It so totally isn't me.------------------ Hello everybody!
