Although I like maintaining a free exchange of ideas at Lindaland, the current fires here and there on the site preclude such a policy, and the next person to insult, berate, or otherwise cause intentional conflict will have to be dismissed. Banning isn't my cup of tea, and I will no doubt be called a tyrant for doing so, but I will do what needs to be done to protect the site. Think twice about what you write, and if you can't say something nice, refrain from saying anything at all. Thanks. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Thanks Randall. This is usually a congenial forum and I love the interactions of the knowflakes on it I do support Randall 100% on this issue tho; slurring anothers being is not tolerated. I was always told, if you don`t have anything decent to say, shut your piehole or go to bed. A rough way of reminding one of the golden rule. May we all apply it. Thank you all you wonderful knowflakes who do apply it and make moderating this forum fun, enlightening, and a warm community. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

I just put it here due to this Forum's popularity. Lots and lots of silent readers in here. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

*sigh*It's a shame things degenerated so much it had to come to this. I'm a strongly opinionated person too, and not fond of censorship.

Just my 2cents... YoU (Universal U and directed at no one in particular because I haven't even seen the 'drama' or arguement in question) can be strongly opinionated and not resort to personal slurs and/or insults to those on the other side of the fence. I don't appreciate censorship of ideas and opinions but I understand the need to nip personal attacks in the bud. Being a moderator or owner of a forum can be a tough job. I have my own and it's not nearly as busy as this one and it's hard to please everyone. ------------------ on a round-about i'm turning on to you.. don't you love the way we're turning, yes you do.. little schools of hummingbirds are streaming by.. while we're merging with the color of the sky.. big yellow sun.. you're the one.. here's our souls heal them, heal them.. beautiful girl you're the world.. i'm in you, breathing IP: Logged |
