Have any of you ever had visitations from Jesus, Mary , or any other religious deity? I'm doing some research and would like to hear of any experiences.

Most interested to hear from people who are not really religious in the traditional sense, or to be more specific, are of no particular faith. Care to share?

Hey Gia!!

Just logged in properly today - I replied to your thread about Gomshall!!! Wow, was so happy to read it

With regards to this thread - I haven't as such had visual visitations - but I have felt 'Godlike' spiritual presences when I've needed it.. very strongly, do you rememeber when I wrote about that weird suffocation presence at night sometimes? Always used to pray and it was immediately alleviated.

Quick jump back to the hauntings at Gomshall - have you watched 'Most Haunted' on Living TV with Yvette Fielding and Derek Acorah? They're always looking for new places to investigate. Do you know if it's just as affected since the refurb?

Intersting study you're doing - is this for a personal book?

Would be great to hear from you again,
Special

I have no idea what is happening at Gomshall now. I did an awful lot to calm things down. I had aromatherapy diffusers pumping fragrant
oils into all the gift stores, also music classical / spiritual playing throughout the stores to help elevate the energy.

The alarms still went off in the middle of the night occasionally, and customers still saw monks walking about now and then. Often customers who didn't have a clue would ask me who those funny monks were? Funnily enough although I sensed them, I never actually saw them for myself. However the activity was not as violent in nature. The toys in the childrens store would get messed up a wee bit. I'd lie in bed and hear the musical books going and loads of giggling. It did'nt bother me very much. My assistant would pick stuff up off the floor in the morning, all the while complaining she'd left it all really tidy the night before.

Locking up used to get on my nerves. I'd switch all the internal lights off only to walk across to the car park and see the place lit up again like bloody Crystal Palace. One night I went back in and shouted at them to keep the lights off unless they were willing to go along to the local electricity board and pay the ruddy bill!!

I sold the lease on before the chain of restaurants purchased it. It was not a good thing. I sold it to someone who eventually became bankrupt only months later. He was not a great choice.

As you probably remember we did very well indeed. We had over 5000 visitors a week. I don't understand what happened. People called me to say he had no idea how to run the stores. I went all over on buying trips, pretty much did everything myself. I think his energy was totally wrong for the place. I have reason to believe my little helpers didn't like him very much.

People would also appear on occasion saying that I had called them. They would then proceed to tell me the stangest things. One woman came all the way from Canada.

I told you that I never felt scared, but with one exception. One guy scared me so bad I locked myself in the office until he left. My poor assistant manager was left to deal with this unusual individual on her own until I composed myself.

He was dark. I'm sure of that. The visit was in the middle of a very busy restaurant dinner shift. A bad thing cause I was totally unprepared. He was so enormous in stature and dressed all in black. I'll never forget his face. He proceeded to tell me very loudly, VERY private information about my life smirking all the while. He refused to give me his name or the purpose of his unsolicited behaviour. He made me feel so sick, dizzy, violated like I wanted to faint. I understand now what he was doing, but when it happened I somehow found it difficult to put up any defense at all. He kept blocking me by telling me stuff about my childhood, really upsetting stuff. The more worked up I got the harder it was to energetically defend myself. I should have known better he was testing me. I was really silly, I should of just walked away. I'm afraid though as always, curiosity got the better of me. I really wanted to know who he was and where he came from. He was rude, aggressive, looked me in straight in the eye, and told me to mind my own business about who he was!!!! Oh yes, he also said he had every intention of seeing me again one day. I hope not. My assistant said she watched him drive off in a completely black Bentley that even had black tinted windows. He was with a woman who was very anxious and didn't speak. I remember how oddly she behaved. It was very strange. Although she was with him, she seemed really, really nervous of him and behaved like she was afraid to even look in my direction. The whole thing was totally bizarre.

Would be interesting to read if any body else out there met a similar individual.

Sorry Special I forgot to answer the question.

The answer is yes.

I know almost everyone who lived in Gomshall whilst I was at the Mill. I think I probably employed most of the teenage kids at one time or another too. I would love to know your real name. Would that be permissible?

Ahh bless you Pixie - it's not a secret!! The thread is in; paras' Free-for-all entry titled 'A Question For Those That See Much' - June 03 at the moment.. amazing 'coincidence' since Gia and I logged in the same time too (May).

Gomshall is amazing - I loved it better when it was a mill as Gia describes so wonderfully! I haven't been inside it since it's been taken over, but I believe Gia's right with the energy. From the outside it looks new but it looks different, like someone being jolted awake from a beautiful sleep in a strange environment!

Enjoy the thread - there maybe pics on the internet but will look when I get back this afternoon

I have to pop out since my cousin's visiting from San Fran and taking her to lunch but will be back later this afternoon

I found a pic of the mill as it is now, can't seem to find one of it before that - apart from the unclear 1800's ones. I just phoned the mill - and they said that there doesn't seem to be much happening now activity wise. I was informed that Daniel Martin would be the best person to talk to - remember him Gia? It just would be interesting to have it on 'Most Haunted.'

also (Gia) I'm not sure how well you knew the surrounding area, but found the link below whilst looking for pics. It's quite a long, but detailed draft on places I knew and loved when I was a smidge of a girl (including Shere)! Thought it may interest the writer in you with droplets of prose!

Hi Special

I know lots of people called Karen. Did I employ you at any time?

What is your family name?

Did you actually live in the village?

I understand what you mean about Gomshall Mill. The village around it always felt strange to me. It didn't belong. It was like a photograph of the future someone pasted around this ancient mill jolting it awake from it's distant slumber.

I'll tell you the story about the dowser one day and the very well known medium that came to visit.

Another coincidence about San Fran. We lived in S/F and then the Bay area. Now I live about 2 hours east towards Tahoe.

Did the move go well and are you now settled?

The mill is exactly as it was outside. I think they may have put a new roof on that's all. It's listed, so very hard to get planning to change the actual structure. My sister Maria lives nearby. She popped in also and had a good look round. It's all a restaurant now. No little nooks or stores anywhere in sight. She said she sat in the car park for an hour afterwards crying her eyes out just remembering how it used to be.

The wheels are the sameof course, but a lot of the antiques I purchased from agricultural auctions have been removed. Remember they were hanging from the ceiling and walls in the granary? I didn't purchase all of them, some were original mill implements.

I purchased a wonderful 'HOVIS' paddle the first ever used in the original Hovis bakery. Oh how I wish I'd bought it back from the new owners. Probably worth a mint now I expect. It would so look grand in my kitchen here in California.

Although they said not much activity, I wonder if they still hear those children crying? Perhaps they've have moved on. The medium told me that the kids knew they could move on to the light whenever they were ready. However, the reason they didn't was me. She said they loved me like a mother and they knew I loved them too. She said I'd protected them before in a past life I had at the mill. Interesting. I really wish them joy and hope they've moved into the light.

Gia, sorry it's been ages replying.. my time's not been my own recently!
My Family name is Fielding. I didn't work at the mill, but visited it since I was 8 (about '85). I lived in Woking at that stage.

I grew up in London, went to Woking when I was about 8, then lived in and out of the area because of uni and work. I stayed in Gomshall for a while during 2002 (above the antiques store next door?) And Guildford before that.

My favourite area was always around Silent Pool, Newlands Corner, Greendene and Sheepleas. Got to know them well from family walks with the dogs! Also when I needed to think and spend time on my own I would often drive mainly to Newlands Corner and soak up the view. Miss the area very much.

My move to London went as well as expected, thank you. I'm settled and the house feels very peaceful for the part of London I'm in (Brixton). Got so much grief for moving here, but it feels right.

It is a coincidence about San Fran. As you know, my cousin that was visiting lives there and lives in the Bay area. She had a good visit and is now on other travels to see family we have in different countries.

That's interesting about the children at the mill and your past life - did you have a feeling you were there before when you got there? How did you find Gomshall in the first place? Still amazed that I found a link with you from 'scones'!

Did you manage to speak to someone at the mill? I feel there are more coincidences to come - like maybe you know someone I do. Recently I've longed to visit it again - but keep thinking it's going to be the same as I left it - so sad it isn't. I will let you know when I have time to.

How is the research going? I'd love to know,

Karen

I know the people that own both the gallery and the antique shop, and they know me very well too. In fact, I purchased an antique cabinet and a french antique clock from them before I moved. I also know the guys from the classic car place having purchased three cars from them also. Where in the bay area does your cousin live? It sure would be funny if my home in the bay area was in the same location. Where in London did you grow up? I grew up in north London you know.

I love antiques, especially in the right setting. In fact I love beautiful things around me! My two main loves are music and cars, definitly will look into classic cars when I move to the house of my dreams!

I will ask my cousin which part they live in when I mail her next. She's travelling to Brussels today.

I lived in different areas of London. We moved a bit when I was little. 1st Islington, Fulham, then Chiswick before moving to Woking.

Since then I've lived in Bournemouth - for uni, Guildford, and areas of South London.

Whereabouts did you live in North London?

When I was very little my family lived in Harringay. Later on we moved to Enfield. I went back last year for the first time in over 23 years. It was a shock. It looked so different. Well, after 23 years I should have expected it to I suppose!

I spent four and half years in South America. Mainly in Brazil, but also in Argentina and a few other countries. When I got back I met up with an American friend and took her to tea at Gomshall Mill. She was asking me what I wanted to do next? I really didn't know, and she jokingly suggested I work at Gomshall Mill. I thought it was a brilliant idea. She thought I'd had a brain aneurysm!

Not long after that, I became the manager of the place, and the buyer for the people who owned it. They were very nice folks indeed. When they offered me the lease I purchased it. It was a very good choice. It gave me the freedom to expand in new directions.

Yes, it really did feel familiar. I know it's strange to say, but it felt like I'd walked into one of those snow globes that you shake about. I walked in and it shook itself out of an ancient slumber and sucked me right up into it's dream.

When I sold the lease on, I went to Canada and did some television work. Now I live in California.

I'll let you know when my book is finished. What kind of music are you involved in?

Oh Enfield's meant to be very haunted isn't it? I remember vaugely from the endless 'other wordly' books I've read.

I'm impressed by how much you've travelled, you must have some amazing things from each place. Did you mention in another thread that you are a Sagittarius? If not, hope you don't mind me asking what are your signs?

I would love to visit Egypt and Tibet, amoungst other places. A colleague is taking a diving holiday in the Red Sea - I'd adore that! Right now however, I want to rent a cottage in Snowdonia, Wales. It's sooo beautiful there, the perfect place to unwind and get down to writing too. I mentioned in trillian's thread that I definitly plan to write something, whether it's continuing my lyrics/poetry, or a diverse book about something. I won't just yet though since there are too many distraction, I'll some peace. Now is the perfect time for research though, and to spiral through my words, so much going on.

I love all types of music, I always have. However I love hiphop, I grew up as the culture did and appreciate the collaboration of lyrics and sounds that produces the end result.

I grew up listening to, Marvin Gaye, The Supremes, Michael Jackson, my first favourite band at 4 was DuranDuran closely followed by Dollar and Bucks Fizz! So many samples of previous tunes are used in hiphop today, so it's good they're still being recognised. I love blues, Ray Charles, Muddy Waters and even like some country like good ol' Kenny and Bob Seger.

I currently work in a car company in London, and work in music and promotions any other time I'm free. I love working in front of and behind the camera, especially for music videos, I can usually see an image in my head when I hear music.

Some of my close friends work in TV and love the buzz in studios, went to Carlton and ITV last night, there's always something going on. At the same time however, I treasure tranquility so much.

I'd love to work in that industry all the time - my labour of love. However when people ask me, what do you want to do? It's frustrating because there are so many areas I want to be involved in. I'm sure it won't be confusing forever though or I'll drive myself mad, need that break from pollution clogging up my system!

Do you mind me asking what kind of television work you did?

I work in St James' Sq London, and the popped to the market by the church today and bought 'The Four Noble Truths' by The Dalai Lama.. must find time to read it tonight

I'm quite sure I know nothing about any hauntings in Enfield. I would be fascinated to hear more. I was only 18 when I left. I'm surprised I didn't hear anything. I was very involved in the local Spiritualist Church at that time. I don't remember reading anything in their local "Spooky Rag" either.

I've been reading a book on synchronicity. And have started "listening" for any connections... relating to anything. Any way, I was reading this post very intently and my computer made this VERY LOUD sound that I've never heard before. It rocked me. It could be nothing. But I do know I,ve been sensing a connection to you and Pidaua.
About the Father, Son, and Holy Mother and all that... I am not religious, but I live in a very religious community. There are four churches on one block across the street from me. One on every corner, It's the only place in the country where this takes place.
Cathlics are predominant here.
Do you want to hear something, I think, is really funny!. OK I'll try my best to describe...Mother Mary is everywhere!. Statues I mean. People build little shrines in their front yards in her honor. Here's what they do.
They dig a hole about 4 feet deep and 4 feet wideand put a bath tub in the hole and fill it back up until it's level with the ground.
Next come the decorations. Lights, animals etc. Finally, Mary gets settled into her new home. A lot of people have little iron gates made for the front of the bath tubs, so someone won't steal their Marys!.

It's like putting all the Mary's in jail with lights!

I have a Saint Joseph. Though I can't remember where I buried the poor chap. I'll have a hell of a time if I move. I buried him in my consercration of the ground ceremony - And before you start laughing Philbird, it was a very serious affair.

I'm not kidding when I tell you that the deer act very strange in that vicinity....veeery strange indeed.

Not really, only my usual occassional visitation of something at night. I have posted this before on another thread, but I had it again the other day. I was going to post it but it wouldn't send until I edited it out!

In brief, sometimes I get a feeling something's in the room with me, just as I'm about to drift off to sleep.. an odd feeling. Then when I'm asleep I have a terrible nightmare - more like a feeling that wakes me up and 'holds' me in a frozen state of fear and the only way I can release it is to pray, The Lord's Prayer or Hail Mary always.

I heard my pillow move behind me the other night, and something sometimes repetitively hits the door, making a odd noise..but have to wrestle myself fully awake then it stops. This has happened everywhere I've lived and do remember it when I was very young, like 3 years old. Then another memorable experience in my early teens when it happened, but I was then visually floating through a 'sky tunnel' of brightness and hands from all nations, all colours parted in front of me as I floated to the last set of hands, which revealed the planets in such clarity - seemingly better than I can actually see.

Wish I knew what's causing the occassional disburbance though.
