I am trying to stay even and balanced.... I am trying to be lighthearted.
My mom called a feww minutes ago, and basically said my grandpa is losing function.. like things are shutting down, and it will be very very soon, that he makes his journey.
Could you please send him some ..... not healing.... but, guiding light/prayers? To help him along?
His heart is so strong..... but the rest of him is going.. and we don't know exactly what he is holding out for, but it has gotten to the point where he has lost control of himself.. he is lucid and drooling, can't walk, or talk much, or drink or eat,and has no functioning kidneys. Mom says it's just really sad to see, though she insists he is in no pain.
He told her he didn't want to go yet.
I wish I knew what would help him, or give him comfort somehow. I am trying spiritually. He knows when it is time. He has spent 86 years here, I guess he's attached. No wonder, with a woman lik emy grandma standing by him and taking care of him for 58 years. *sigh*
What do I do?

Hey sweetheart, I am sending every beam I have. I pray that when your grandfather is ready to pass over, that he goes happily and with his dignity.

This is the hardest time. When we want so much to reach out to them but we don't know if they can recognize us. Pixie, you and your grandfather have such a strong link, I do believe that you will still have him in your life- most likely in your dreams. That is just the feeling that I get. You two are so close.

Sending loads of hugs your way. My grandmother passed away last week and it helped to stay close to my mom. What I am trying to say is try to spend time with the people who were also close to him, it will help.

Oxychick~ I am so sorry to hear about your Grandma. Oh, I know.. It just sucks. If you need anything, don't hesitate. My shoulders are bigger for others than they are for me.

Your post made me so sad. I hate to see anyone go through this but even more so someone that is so completely fabulous to me. I hate even more that I can't offer comfort to you better than on a message board.

it's so hard is'nt it? three months after my grandmother passed away she came to me in a dream state. it was the most beautiful experience of my life. i know for sure it wasn't a dream. just know that our loved ones are never far away, even when it feels like they are.

My heart goes out to you and your family.

My dad pasted in March of last year and he was pretty much in the same state as your grandpa,really weak and organs not working well anymore. I had a vision of being able to just climb into bed with my father and say nothing and just lay with him and his energy. I found myS-elf to be very lucky and when I get to the house, dad being in bed ,my mom told me to go lay by my dads side. I wasn't raised with my father so found it to be one of the few special moments that I got to share with my dad sense my early childhood .

My mom just called... At 7 am this morning, my grandpa passed over, holding his wife's hand.
Please send up some prayers to help his soul find where it needs to be.
