I have this little book if you will, called the "Isness of Now" and the author of the book signed an email to me with the word "Namaste". I don't think I ever remembered to ask what it meant. Since my contact with him was so minimal and I really haven't spoken with him in a while I feel a little strange to ask him now out of nowhere. I have seen other people sign off on their posts similarly and I was wondering, who can tell me what it means??Anyone, anyone? ......Bueller? IP: Logged |

I was told it means:"I salute the Divinity within You." Kells IP: Logged |

Namaste is Hindu and is spelled "Namaste" but pronounced "Nam-a-stay." Namaste is a greeting that you do by bringing your hands together and placing them near your heart while saying Namaste. Definition of Namaste I honor the place in you in which the entire Universe dwells. I honor the place in you which is of Love, of Truth, of Light, and of Peace. When you are in that place in you, and I am in that place in me, we are One. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." pixel - i missed quik's Bueller reference the first time around and i thought you were having "an episode" or something quiksilver - like randall said. it's a truly beautiful greeting, i think. it's also used often in yoga as the salutation and especially the parting between teacher and student. i really like that.
