First off, I really believe I have one or two guardian angels, guiding spirits, or whatever you want to call them. For example, I have been in at least 2 car "accidents", that by some miracle weren't really accidents: once I was driving in the rain, coming down a mountain and around a curve. Halfway thru the curve my car started aquaplaning and even though I had the steering wheel hard right, the car was sliding left, into oncoming traffic. Remember, I was just coming out of a steep curve, oncoming traffic had no chance to see me beforehand. Across the street was a bank, with a parking lot. There was one tight open spot in the lot. While I'm trying hard to get the car under control, I see a huge delivery van coming at me in the opposite direction, about 30 meters (about 100 feet) away. The lady driving the van breaks and despite the really wet street and the speed comes to a screeching halt about 5 inches away from where my car was. In that second my car, going for the parking lot full of other cars slid into the only empty spot in the lot. I can't remember consciously trying for the spot. I had my baby in the car, too.I guess it must have looked like I really wanted that parking spot, the lady jumped out of the van and ran to me screaming at my "you f***ing moron!!!" and I just started shaking and crying. I explained what happened to her and she patted my back and drove away. Since that day, I have realized quite a few situations where I believe someone is watching over me and my family. Anyways, I wanted to know, if you guys think you have angels, too, how do you thank them and show them your gratitude. Sometimes I meditate and my mantra is "thank you for xxx" and after a while I get like this lightening bolt of lovely energy through me. I sure hope my angels know how grateful I am, and that I am trying (even if I don't get it quite right) to hear the message and lessons they have for me. I figure, putting it down in writing sure won't hurt lol. Love to you all, Nackie IP: Logged |

That's awesome! You just did. Thank them, that is..... plus, they know anyway. It's a different sort of communication. What an incredible story.. you were certainly guided by an unseen hand. It is so easy to disconnect and live this life on a mundane level... frustrations, work, raising stubborn, smart and forgetful boys. (LOL) So it's nice to acknowledge that there are 'others' looking out for you and yours, and reinforce that sense of internal connection. Do you read any Sylvia Browne books? She has these intereting chapters and comments on angels and spirit guides. You'd probably get a kick out of it.But it's like anything, right? You don't tell your loved ones you are thankful for them by throwing them a parade.. you do it with your arms and eyes and your smile for them. You simply say "thank you" ot "I love you" and they know. Just like you know... even if they don't say anything. Thanks for sharing. IP: Logged |

Hey, this is a lovely thread to start and whatta story! Thanking your angels? Definitly. I too was in a carcrash last year.. unbelieveable I came away unscathed since the car headed into these smallish trees, spun twice, rolled twice, and ended up in a ditch. Ummmm.. I have so much love for my angels You're right pixie, every soul who knows you just knows ------------------ "Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars." But don't you think it's still important to SHOW your gratitude? In this case, by trying to find out what they need to teach you? For me, the first step in showing my thanks and love is to actually REALIZE and ACCEPT that they are part of my life, as I'm normally a very "rational" type of person (please notice the quotation marks!). For me it was hard to come to terms with this, as I certainly didn't believe anything like that beforehand. I have heard of Sylvia Browne before, I will try and get a book or two of hers her, thanks for the idea, Pixie! Dear Special, I'm so glad you weren't hurt in your car accident! It's an amazing thing to realize that there is something bigger than you out there, and that it/he/she cares so much for you as to keep you safe, isn't it? No one else have any stories to share? Or ideas how to express the gratitude? I think, that by helping others, and becoming a "good spirit" to others might be a way of showing you are thankful...as they say, plagery is flattery! lol And how do you incorperate this into your daily life? Thanks Nackie, yep that power of protection sure is amazing! Was a lucky gal I agree it is important to show it, but what we meant is that, like your loved ones who know you very well, you're angels do too and with that, certain attributes mean a whole lot more than a massive show. You're right though, by acceptance and realisation I'm sure they appreciate us knowing they're there. Have you ever lit candles for someone in a church, or home? Physical attributes sometimes help me to focus on who I want to send prayers to. Looks like I gotta check this Sylvia Browne book! I have a book by Gary Quinn, 'May the Angels Be With You', he explains how to tap into "Angel Power" and ask for guidance from seven angels; The Angel of Vision The Angel of Wisdom The Angel of Purity The Angel of Strength The Angel of Love The Angel of Peace The Angel of Victory It's an eye opener on how to summon and use the energies of these loving messengers. This insight also shows how to communicate and therefore show appreciation! You're right about the lightening bolt of love Nackie! Will be interesting to hear other experiences too! ------------------ "Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars." Serbian proverb IP: Logged | |
