Ahh.. yes Trillian, her mommy! Juni, the way you described her reminded me of our pups, Mose and Josiah when there were babies. Such pure spirits.. we who can, need to protect them as new world topics prove ------------------ "In the province of the mind, what one believes to be true either is true or becomes true." Trillian, the question is: where does juni sleep My Cancer puts up with my snoozes in the barn and doesn`t even mind the smell. Actually, she sleeps in a nest of hay with her little coat in the barn. I keep a llamama in there as well at night to guard when I`m not out there. It also keeps things in perspective for her; she`s a llama not a two legged A baby moniter keeps me alert to whats going on as well. It is an earsplitting shock when the rooster gets by it and cuts loose . She`s on her feet today and nosing around. The rear legs aren`t quite right. Not quite sure yet why but no worry at this time. She takes a good ten/fifteen steps now before she goes down. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Juni, you are such a special lady. How is Little Angel today? It's so wonderful that you two have found each other. Do you think her original Llamamama misses her? I hope that didn't sound weird...I know she was born prematurely...just was musing as to whether the Llama was aware at the time that her baby was born, but needed to go somewhere else to heal.

Good morning Trillian, you are so astute. It is Sweet Pea that is in the barn with her (A`s mama ) She is so sweet and gentle with her. She hums to her and nuzzles her. I am praying it will bring milk down and she can nurse the little Angel. It does happen quite frequently so.... This a.m. not much noticable difference except she had goopy eyes. Unsure there and have e mailed a stand by vet for more insight. Please keep the love and prayers going strong . juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

These llama sounds work for some and not for others. Not sure why, but here`s a page to listen to the sounds of the llama`s humming and calls Give it a minute to load the hums. http://personal.smartt.com/~brianp/allsounds.html juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |

Thank you for asking Trillian She`s much friskier. Today I put her out in the sun (still a cool 65 high temps here) and she loved it. She pronked a little and skittered about. She soaked the sun up sprawled out like a weeks worth of wash Sweet Pea was a nervous wreck. Time to let her be a llama and let her have pasture during the daytime. juniperb ------------------ If having a soul means being able to feel love and loyalty and gratitude, then animals are better off than a lot of humans. ~James Herriot IP: Logged |
