Hey Special,I was wondering if you got the details to the Raditech yet? I can't remember where that thread is. I will be taking break from Linda Land soon. I'm taking a short trip up to the Mendocino coast. I'm in dire need of some sea air and redwood trees. How is everything back home? It's way too hot here at the moment. Our pool temperature was 85 today. Like swimming in a warm bath. I may need to take a trip to the U.K. also. I have to see my dentist who is just awesome. I think I need a filling replaced. He's a homeopathic dentist, a wonderful, gentle person, who I've also known for years. He lives in Rye if ever you need a good dentist in that area. I don't trust them here. They wanted to remove my wisdom teeth for no reason at all. They were causing me no problems. My dentist in Rye was just astounded when he checked me out. He wanted the telephone number of my California dentist, said he wanted an explanation. Oh well, that's all my latest in a nutshell. I hope all is well with you. Gia IP: Logged |

Gia,In sync again! I was thinking about Raditech, dentistry and well deserved breaks recently! Coincidences occur with me almost daily, but they seem more frequent on LL ! Unfortunately, I lost the Raditech thread too - someone mentioned it the other day, had a quick search but couldn't find it? So thank you for replying if you did! Before I progress with it; is this the Raditech you were talking about? http://dulwichhealthonline.co.uk/acatalog/Online_Catalogue_RadiTech_6.html The Mendocino coast sounds heavenly! North California wine country.. I think that's the only Mendocino I know? Ohhh lucky you! Will you be there for the 4th July celebrations? Break from LL? Ha.. you should be so lucky.. betcha'll be logging in in no time Things here are possibly generally the same as when you left. The weather's been really strange since Monday, spells of everything apart from hailstones and fog! Last night (Tuesday) it was bucketing down, and listened to it as I fell asleep, it sounded divine! Today, looking out of the window to my right at work, overlooking the RAC Club on Pall Mall; it's overcast, still numerous black cabs hurtling down the one way stretch too fast. Picadilly's still busy, numerous tourists gather round the Eros daily, lots more people holding up "Spray Tan - this way 50 per cent off" signs. I walk past the Ritz from Green Park station on my way too and from work, still emmaculate porters polishing the brass, and noddin' "Good mornin's". The tourist buses still run from there and the guides have only just stopped thrusting pamphlets of daily tours at me - realising after 7 months of this route I'm possibly not a tourist (Had to post in two messages since it was too big for one - so, cont. below! ------------------ "Be humble for you are made of earth. Yep, London's the same! Waterloo's a bit snazzier and tons more swanky bars seem to be opening each week around Soho, but it's all the same!I miss the country. I wouldn't call Guildford the country, since it's the next biggest town out of London, and it's still being debated whether it's a city or not because of the cathedral But heyho - it's near enough to Gomshall, Newlands Corner, Silent Pool, Sheepleas and Greendene for me! Which brings me nicely onto the break I was thinking of. Especially since I talked to you about Gomshall, I've really wanted to go back, and deeply miss Newlands Corner and the feel of it during summer. I have a holiday booked with friends to go to Scotland in a couple of weeks, but if that doesn't go ahead - I'm either going there, Wales - I miss Wales - and/or Somerset to visit Sun Child! Please let me know if you come to the UK, how cool would it be to go to Gomshall? Now about dentists! Would you please forward the details of your dentist since I need one and trust your opinion - haven't seen a dentist since I was ummm.. 4/5?! Recently I've been considering where to go since I'm not that clued on denistry rates and what they should or shouldn't take out, so thanks for mentioning that!! Guess I really have to get back to work now .. been sooo slack recently, so odd that LL takes a priority! Thanks for the reply about 'need to believe' she's worrying me. I still need to mail back Rosary Lady, been so busy recently I've hardly checked my mail, but if you speak to her, please tell her I haven't forgotton! I'm going to St James' Church at lunch to light candles for all at LL. Such a haven in the midst of the west end! Bye for now Gia, make sure you announce your mini break too K ------------------ "Be humble for you are made of earth. Be noble for you are made of stars." Serbian proverb

Hi Special,The Raditech thread is on page 2 of the "Free For All" under Philbirds posting of "Any chance of blowing myself up?" She's so funny, did you read what she did to her poor little turtles? If not, read my posting of "Turtle Heaven." Poor old Terry and Tara! Look the Raditech up. I've explained who you should try and talk to if possible. Go to: www.rolfgordon.co.uk My dentist is: Mr Kyriacos Hajikakou Tel: 01797 - 222487 It's only a tiny office in the middle of Rye. Nothing fancy to speak of, but he's great dentist and you can certainly trust him. He would never tell you something untrue or didddle you in any way. Might be a bit far for you to travel to. Still, Rye is sweet for a day trip. Have you seen Mermaid Street before? Yes, of course I'll let you know when I'm in London. It would be fun to meet up some place and chat. When I read your detailed descriptions of London, I almost felt like I did when I used to work in central London many moons ago. I do miss some of my old haunts sometimes. To read about star child go to their site. It's so cool. www.starchild.co.uk We'll talk soon. Gia

I forgot to ask. Did you ever go to Polsden Lacy? It's a huge country estate in Bookham. They have a lovely rose garden I used to meditate in. I saw my first nature spirit in that garden. I used to pack a lunch and spend whole days wondering around the grounds. It's beautiful. Gia IP: Logged |

Gia, I found the details on Raditech - thank you! It sounds like exactly what I need - more energy etc. I have random bursts of energy at the moment and these terrible nightmares leave me drained in the morning - getting into bother at work for being late too! You've taught me so much Gia, bless you for all this information and for RosaryLady - must mail her this weekend. Found out so much more about me from logging onto LL, and more I need to do! Yes I read Philbird's post on Terry and Tara! Oh my she's hilarious though, she flies into LL on wings of hilarity.. very refreshing person! I haven't been to Rye but I know it's somewhere I'll love to visit, will check out Mr Hajikakou for sure. I haven't been to Mermaid Street but found a picture... aww how lovely! It reminds me of parts of Guildford. Sussex is beautiful though. http://www.planetware.com/photos/GB/GBEN067.HTM I've been near Polesdon Lacey, but haven't been to the house - oh the house of my dreams! I have a strange affinity with large country houses. For any Knowflakes that haven't heard of it, this is Polesdon Lacey below. http://www.nina.gemineans.co.uk/visitors/ntrust/polesdon.html I briefly went to St Teresa's Convent School, near Bookham. It was a glorious school, one of the best, but I couldn't bear being constantly surrounded by teems of catty, competitive (sometimes nasty) girls. So after a year - much to my stepmother's horror, I asked my dad to pull me out and went to Heathside in Weybridge (where Millie Dowler went missing?) The gardens in Polesdon look so peaceful and beautiful, you saw your first nature spirit there? That area of Surrey is beautiful. Did you ever walk in Shepleas, or Greendene, (Shere)? One day a couple of years ago when I was in process of a breakdown, I was in London. I had a real urge to go to Greendene again and drove there, and walked on my own round the old paths I knew as a child - it was magical, it was as if the woods and paths, even insects were breathing with me, welcoming me back.. - OMG I just did a search for 'Greendene Shere' on Google to see if there was a picture of some sort, and your topic and my post is on there! http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=greendene+shere&meta= Anyway, must get back to work again - it's 15:00 and need to do some bits and pieces before going to 'lunch' - more like 10mins in St James' Square - which by the way is blooming at the moment! Got the company summer party tonight at the Sheraton in Knightbridge? Have nought to wear! Decided I better put something on or I'll get funny looks It's the England - Portugal game tonight too. The UK's adrift with football fever at the moment! - Aaannd a company party on a Thursday?? - With an 8am start?? Urrgh - Good one Inchcape! Bye for now Gia, will let you know how I get all with all your nuggets of info, With love, K

Hi Special,Yes, I do know Saint Teresa's Covent School. I employed a couple of the girls from there. I also I drove up and down that lane habitually for years. I'm afraid I didn't have a very high opinion of the girls I employed though. They were terribly spoilt, indulgent and almost quite useless in practical skills. One I remember had no idea how to make a pot of tea. Why she'd even applied to work in a tea room was beyond me! I know Greendene, Shepleas and Shere very well. Funnily enough I also know Heathside in Weybridge. My accountant had a daughter who attended Heathside. I went to her school play once. Her name was Bateman. I think probably younger than you - though I'm not sure how old you are? Also are you familiar with White Lodge in Weybridge? I was quite involved with them for a time. In fact my sisters other half is a therapist there. Mermaid Street is lovely, so is Saint Mary's and Church Square. At Christmas some of those streets in Rye look magical. Like something from a Dickens novel. Most of the streets are cobbled and the cottages and buildings are quite ancient. Most of them are haunted and have weird interlocking secret passages the old smugglers used. I enjoyed living there for a while. Sold my house in Rye to build this one. Sometimes, I wish I'd kept it. Prices have gone through the roof there and from an investment point of view, it was not very shrewd of me at all. Still, we thought that if we should purchase another property in the United Kingdom, it would probably be the Lake District, or perhaps Salisbury right near the Cathedral. I love Salisbury. Do you know the Cathedral at all? My sister just called me from the train at Regent Street Station. She's despondent because England lost the game. Poor dear. I joked that the world might never recover from such a devastating blow, and as far as her life is concerned? She may never be the same person ever again!!!! Gia

Haha Gia.. it gets curiouser and curiouser! Remember I posted a while back that I knew there's be more links with places to come. Not many people from the know certain areas of Surrey so well! Oh and White Lodge - isn't that a nursery? I vaugely remember it had primary colours on the outside I have been to Salisbury as a child, the Cathedral is breathtaking - full of residual energy Oh and I'm all kindsa ages internally, but chronilogically, I'm 26. You mentioned tea, one of my favourite things - I could reeeaally do with a proper Gomshall cuppa now It's 18:00 and just finishing Friday at work!! Been here since 8am we had the company party last night, whilst watching the football - we needn't go into that! You said your sister was in town? Wow I didn't know your sister was here - I might have seen her occassionally without knowing it! Anyway, the hotel kicked us out by about midnight and we went on to 'Havana' (Hanover Square) - a Salsa club! Oh my - I didn't know I could dance the Salsa, but I was 'lead' beautifully and it all flowed! I love dancing and this was quite expressive - not too difficult and quite instinctive - must go for proper lessons now! I returned to my humble abode at around 3am, after sortig out relevant taxis etc. Checked in on LL (naturally).. and zonked out until the unwelcome beeping of my phone alarm, jolted me out of a dream about beeping wildlife at 06:30 hence the need for a soothing cuppa now! It's now 18:20 and have plans to meet some people in Carnaby Street at 19:00ish, after popping into House of Fraser, Oxford Street methinks. (Apologies for any spell mistakes, I haven't had time to read this through!) So in the words of Cilla, Tara for now chuck! Sounds like a really fun night. I love the Salsa too. It's very sensual and so connected. Like the Tango another one of my all time favourites. When I first saw proper live Tango in Argentina it took my breath away. I thought it was the most beautiful dance I had ever seen in my entire life. I wanted to buy a very tight black little number, grow at least another five inches, gel my hair back, wear red lipstick and find me a nice Argentinan.... Oh well, can't have everything in life I suppose! Maybe you have seen my sister round town somewhere. She works just off Regent St. Always rings me whilst she's on the tube from her mobile. Sometimes it's quite annoying because I find it hard to hear what she's saying when the train goes through a tunnel. She gets bored easily on the train so rings here almost everyday. She makes me laugh by telling me all her trivialities. White Lodge is a school and residential home for disabled children. I went to the theatre tonight to see a dance recital performed by three year olds. It was in a huge old building in down town Sacramento. The children all looked so darling in their little costumes. The ones that were good were so very good however, the bad ones were beyond hilarious. I almost choked trying to be discreet. My hubby who really did not want to go had a wonderful time in the end. He said it was the funniest thing he had ever seen. Well worth the Gia IP: Logged |

Gia - I dreamt about you last night! Thanks for repying to the 'Spiral Energy' post. I read it last night after I couldn't sleep (explained in the same post) and finally when I went to sleep again at around 5am, I had a dream about you. It was vague and brief, but it was you smiling and talking to a male and female somewhere - ( I don't know what you look like but it was the left side of your head) It was a positive presence in the dream and was grateful you were there because of the disturbance in my sleep Wow - you've watched the Tango in Argentina what an experience! I'm glad you enjoyed the theatre - I haven't been for so long and was saying to my friends there is so much to see in London at the moment, I must go again. There are many art shows coming up too. I heard on the radio the other day that the church in Southbank are doing free art lessons, you literally turn up and they provide all the materials, not sure if it's still on, but would be an interesting experience! I'm going to town soon, need to feel like I've had a Sunday since the weekend's flown by! Oh yes, I'm going to Paris the week after next, I'm going with friends and staying in an apartment. I'll have to find out where and maybe get some advice from you on the best places to visit? How's the plans to go to the coast? Did you read Philbird's post on Immortality Rings?? Bye for now!! Ooooohh the weather was tempestuous over the weekend, my mood's been interchangeable recently too I don't suppose there's a magic contraption that helps your room to keep order is there?? I mean things just seem to be pretty obstinate, my make-up keeps diappearing and there seem to be double the amount of tea cups in the sink.. It's a frizzy hair day too, seriously considering shaving my head for all ease and purposes. Oh look it's 18:00 and have to go, appointment at 18:15.. will get back to what I was gonna say .. Can you sense the scattiness today?? Toodlepip, K

I have very wavy hair that turns frizzy when it's damp. When I don't blow dry, I kind of resemble someone who's just had an electric shock. I always wanted stick straight hair you know, the kind that never needs brushing and looks like glass. The Virgo in me likes everything perfect and in place - including the hair!I'm interested to know what you think I look like from your dream? It would be fun to guess. Also did you notice anything unusual about the two people with me? Any feelings at all about them? Yes my sister did mention how windy and cold London was. It was 95% here way too hot for me to do my normal work out. I had to do extra time at Curves instead. Now I can't even do that. I jumped off a wall yesterday and pulled a ligament. It's very painful and extremely annoying because I can't move fast enough for my liking. I'm treating myself and using the Raditech, which really helped last night. I'm going to swoosh it about in the pool and hopefull try and stop it contracting so much. Wish me luck. Oh my gosh, you'll never guess what's playing on the radio? They've got 'Lets Twist Again' on. That is too funny...... though I'm not about to twist anything else thank you very much!!! IP: Logged |

Hey Gia - I'm bbbaaaaacck!! (Special - undercover) Sorry it's taken ages to reply to this, lots has been happening! I hope your vacation was as expected and everything's tickety-do Now lemme rewind back to the dream - I don't recall frizzy hair. I can relate - my hair's a curly nuisance which I have to ceramic iron into place whenever I wash it or it jumps into frizz at the sight of humidity It was really vaugue - it was like you and the people around you were sooo happy and at ease, chatting and it looked like a soft focus picture with vaseline round the outside of the lens. I didn't notice anything unusual about them because the feeling was more prominent than the visual - your eyes were twinkling and even though you didn't seem to be aware of me - you were telling me something was going to be OK? Ah yes because I was having problems with interrupted sleep then. Oh my, still haven't mailed RosaryLady!! Haha - Curves? I did a short stretch as a Curves instructor around Christmas at Farnborough, Hampshire! So funny, I had to jump around in the middle of the circle motivating everyone, cool since I had a free workout, the manager was called Jenny a lady from Texas - everything was very American I loved her accent! Let's Twist Again??! Y'see that will always happen - have you read my post 'Special is now Sheaa Olein!'? God knows what was playing on the radio when I woke up - probably the Laurel & Hardy theme tune! So how was your holiday? No doubt you'll tell us all in time. My time away was eventful as I posted in 'My name change and what Inga said' Hope you're well and speak to you soon! Sheaa - oh the rhymes with Gia! Do you pronounce Gia, with a Geee (wizz) or Gee as in geese? ------------------ Sheaa Olein, previously Known as the Knowflake 'Special' IP: Logged | |
