I'll start...From 8th grade to post grad. I was an artist. Polo pony groom. Gymnastics instructor, 2 years. Camp counselor, arts and crafts and gymnastics. Vet asst. Lifeguard, horseback instructor. Camp scheduleing. House Parent at a school for blind and retarded children. Dunkin Donuts Day care worker. Waitress/ barmaid. Carnival hand. Manager of a strudle shop. Bus person. Owned horses/ riding instructor. Horse and carriage driver/ historical tours of Phila. Paralegal asst. Go Go dancer. Nude girls XXX!!! I had this customer once that asked me to act like his mother. I laughed my a** off and asked him if he ate his peas. Giant blow-up tooth. (don't ask.) Accepted to Yale on scholarship (graphic design) declined, got married and had a baby. Graphic designer for the Phila. Museum of Art. Designer for The Museum of Natural History, Phila. Designed CD's for a recording co. Co-Designer for art and literature magazine circulated throughout Phila. (if you were there in 1991, It was called Dot Dot Dot. Own Design business. Printer's asst. Dept. Store. Credit card pusher. Lifeguard. MIA for 13 years... Phila. Race Track, groom, exercise girl. Fashion store. Wal Mart. Dollar store. and now... Apt. complex manager. Never got fired from a job! My Philosophy? Try anything that appeals to you, even if it's only for 10 minutes! Most amazing thing I ever saw... a dog taking a crap while I was on acid. (only once folks, only once.) 15 minutes of fame? Flipping over the horse and carriage containing 8 people and a baby, in front of a building containing 3 news stations. Sending all to the hospital. I was severly badgered as to why I didn't try to get the people out instead of catching the horse! Rule #1. Grab the horse first so it doesn't drag everyone for a mile. Lawers were crawling all over the place. Right there on at least local T.V. I was bawling into the neck of a horse. Then had it plastered all over the papers the next day. Everyone? Try to see humor in your job. P.S. I could never run for political office, could I?

Philbird - You mean at the convenience store? We never had any problems. Of course it didn't hurt that one of my co-workers was having an affair with one of the city police officers. Even though the store sits right on a state highway there have never been any robberies. It's right in the middle of town and there's always someone in there. The police chief told us once that most criminals would probably figure for a town this small there wouldn't be enough cash to make it worth their effort to rob. LLL IP: Logged | |
