He's IRR and may very well have been called up. He had earlier gotten a letter telling him to report to a duty station, but that was sent out "prematurely" by the DoD. After that discussion ended in GU, though, several thousand members of the IRR (Individual Ready Reserve...when you join the Army, you sign-up for seven years duty, even if your service time's less; then, when you're discharged, you can either be USAR or IRR until the whole time elapses) were mobilized for Iraq.IP: Logged |
