Night before last I fell asleep with my neck in a somewhat uncomfortable position. When I woke up, it was much more than uncomfortable. No problem, I thought, I've pinched my neck muscles before, another night of sleep and it will be right as rain. Well, it didn't happen that way. So I've spent most of today (the 22nd) on my back, with a pillow under my shoulders to try and stretch my neck back into shape. Did I mention that I find laying on my back very uncomfortable in general? I'm one of those fetal-position sleepers. So, after a whole day of enduring this, there's been a mild improvement. I am going crazy! I am used to being up and active; lying on my back, staring at the ceiling is not my idea of fun. I had to get up and do SOMETHING, dammit, if only for a little while, so of course what do I do? I come here. Just wanted to let you know that if I don't have a lot to say the next few days, it's because I can't sit upright at the computer for too long. I'm freaking out worried that something is seriously wrong with my neck -- and trying not to give in to that feeling at the same time. I suppose I just needed to vent my little worries -- thanks for listening. And be careful how you sleep!IP: Logged |
