against the law!
I got this crap mail today from a one Rev. Ike. Anyone hear of him?
I did not invite this correspondance. Inside the letter was a thin cardboard cross that glows in the dark.
Here are some of the highlights of the letter...Dear Mary,
See this MIRACLE POWER OF GOD CROSS that I have in my hand? (photo)
I have sent you one, too, in this very leter. GET IT OUT OF THE RETURN ENVELOPE AND HOLD IT WHILE YOU READ THESE PAGES. The Spirit told me to LOAN it to you OVERNIGHT only, for your Deliverance, Money Blessings, Healing, Success, Prosperity- AND TO STOP ALL ENIMIES AND OPPOSITION. As soon as I get it back from you, I must send it to some other people that need it for help and Blessings, too. So DO NOT hold up this MIRACLE POWER OF GOD CROSS longer than OVERNIGHT. YOU DON'T WANT TO DO THIS and hold up their blessings and thereby, hold up your OWN Blessings! And so on... "The Spirit showed me two things while I was praying for you this morning at 2:47 AM..." "Mary, the Holy Spirit tells me that there have been some things on your mind, trying to bother you, that need to be STOPPED IN A HURRY..." "While I loan you this MIRACLE POWER OF GOD CROSS OVERINGHT ONLY, IT MUST TOUCH WOOD tonight-anything wood. Hold it up to the light, then quickly look at it in the dark- see how it glows! First thing in the morning, but BEFORE SUNDOWN tomorrow, you must wrap a $20.00, or more, Faith and Love Donation for the Church Ministry around the MIRACLE POWER OF GOD CROSS and send it back to me. DON"T LET THE LYING DEVIL tempt you to keep or "STEAL" this Cross, or send it back with NOTHING! That could be "BAD LUCK." He goes on about how I'll screw up other people's lives if I don't Wash and Kiss the cross three times and send it back. Personally, If I washed it three times, no one else would be able to use it, it's so cheezy!
The reverand is an an avangelist(sp)
Basically the man has sent me something I didn't ask for and is threatening me if I don't send it back. Especially if I belived God was the source of the message. Isn't that illeagal?
He goes on and on about the Devil thing. It's not that I believe him, I'm very angry he/they have tried to manipulate me using my belief in God!!! He has a website... www.revike.org I'm going to track down fraud info on this guy, he's worse than Maria Duval. (someone sold my "soul" to the devil without my permission!)
Whether they admit it or not they are stalking our minds! Just knowing they know my address ****** me off! Freedom of press has to stop somewhere! A VERY, VERY, angry Mary

I have a customer and she came in one time, bearing his correspondance, and I read through it. I totally agree. She actually photocopied it, and sent back a scathing response.
I haven't received anything ( thankfully) But I agree that it is sooooo unjust and preying ( not praying.) on the minds of people who are devoted to God and believe it is a sign or something. So Sad.
I am glad you are angry. I would love to see the response you get!

Thanks Pix, I don't necessarly believe in sueing, but if I could, I'd sue them for everything they have and spread the money out evenly to all the people who responded!IP: Logged |

Another blood sucking bottom feeder.Don't let it get to you, Mary. Just be glad you're not stupid enough to fall for it. I'd send it back with a letter explaining what offended you about it, and how non-Christian you feel it all really is. He/They won't care though. They'll just move on to the next contestant. Don't worry Phil - he will get his - you can count on that. It's the law of the Universe. What you send out you get back. And he's eventually going to get right back what he is sending out. Try not to let too much anger overcome you. Just rest assured that truely, what goes around comes around.
And he's got it comin'.......Scaring people and making them feel guilty - so he can make a quick buck - preying on people - knowing that at some point some people will actually fall for it........ughhhhh!!! Disgusting! IP: Logged |

Thanks for the info on this guys. I have never heard of this jerk. I sounds like another case of a greedy con-man HIDING behind a God. Such horrid coward! But if it wasn't for people like him whatever what would my mother-in-law spend her time and money on? IP: Logged |

Oh yeah, I know you guys are right. I was laughing my butt off at first, then I started to think about the threats! They don't sound terristic to you? Did you ever see those nasty, God fearing pamphlets these people spread around? My husband is a Mason, and has a liscence plate frame with their logo on it. When we first moved here, you should have seen all the flyers and pamphlets tucked under our windshield wipers!
Daming us to hell. By the way, Maria Duval is still sending me "love letters". I don't respond, but keep them incase I'm accused of buying something I didn't buy.
That stopped when the priest and his wife moved in. Turns out it was one of our tenants.
