Hello Pidaua, Bummmmer! Hubby, son and I will go to the fair. You knew my son was coming to live with me didn't you? I'll be snickering for you at the fair. I must be pretty sick! I believe all you folks, I don't know, to be gifted, but somehow I still want a live person to "prove" it to me. Go figure! As far as the mystic shop, I could help you set up, paint, etc. but couldn't offer much more than bouncer or cashier. I would frequent the shop though. I know you'd draw the Bisbee crowd, the only "metaphysics" shoppe in town is never open. I think the key to a good amount of clientel, would be a very wide selection of gifts, what have you, from all over the world, and different time periods. For instance, I paid $80.00 for a plaster scarab that you just couldn't find anywhere else. (Not that I knew It was for) The ambiance has to be just right, put on a little "spend some money mood" music on.... I've been in stores where I HAD to buy something just because of the rich feeling I got from the atmosphere. Ohhhhh, the interior decorating and psychology of spending, music to my ears! Anyway, I'm babbling. We'll catch up one day. Have a good one! Oh, if you are tempted to go see "The Thing" on your drive out here, let me know. (I 10, AZ.) Hubby and I had had enough "false hopes" stops on our drive out here. We saw SOOOOO many signs for "The Thing" It had to be a let down! Keep in mind the heat and the kitties.IP: Logged |

Hello Pidaua, I'm sure you've heard about the climate and such from Mr.P. I raise very delicate birds indoors, and believe me, they are always #1 when it comes to comfort. They're Australian birds and I think they like the AZ. weather better than back east. Sorry I missed that post. I'll go look now. I'll e-mail you once you get settled. Take care! Ok, I saw the reply, I feel like an ass. Didn't know, you were familiar with the area. What's this about "Investment in tortilla flats?" I don't understand? Mary IP: Logged |

LOL...I think it was Juniperb or Jwhop that saw the town of Tortilla Flats for sell on e-bay. So we all chatted up a storm (I will try to find the post) about buying Tortilla Flats.I go hiking up at Apache Lake, past Tortilla Flats, so on one of my trips to AZ my dad and I stopped to take a bunch of pics so that I could post them here. Ok guys, I get the Tortilla flats now. Hmmmm, I'm in the area, and if I'm correct, I have a few relatives about to kick. I might be able to contribute. PLUS! I Know my way around the housing system, remember, I'm the manager of the apt. complex I live in. Know all about HUD, red tape, $$$. Pidaua, I wouldn't doubt you could haggle down the price a few mill. We could also have our metaphysics shop, and possible retreats there. Could you imagine, a community where you could walk down the street and say, "hi Randall, I was astral traveling last night...or, hey Gia. we're low on Jewel pills, could ya whip up a batch?" I love the idea of saddles for bar stools, you could drink and get off at the same time! Really no need for the dancing ladies, unless they are faierys. I swear, this is the kind of living enviornment I have wanted my whole life! My heart is palpatating as I write this! Pidaua, maybe this is what brought us to AZ. Our labor of love!!! Wer would need a cook! All the people from LOL could come, live here and find their labor of love. Have to go now, post later! IP: Logged |

Hey Phili, You could be onto something. We do have a cook, sheriff, mayor, dedicated vege grower, I am the tour guide...BUT..we never thought of the metaphysical shop. We even thought about the entertainment. Here's the link: http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum7/HTML/002634.html It's a crack up IP: Logged |

Do you realize, we could be a self sufficiant community? WE COULD TEACH OUR CHILDREN WHAT WE WANT THEM TO LEARN!!!!! Think about all the poeple who have predicted this kind of community in the future!!! I would invest my heart into a project like this! All we need is a grand master planner and $$$. Some of you may be just talking, but man, I want this!!! Crap! Invalid Item! They must have sold it! That's okay, land here is "dirt cheap"!IP: Logged |
