LS, songs aren't too big, beside, do you think you might be able to get ahold of them? If so, I'm reimburse you (or anyone who could help) for downloading them to a CD and mailing it.... Can ya tell I'm desparate? ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

my burner's on the fritz Another thing to think about with the email thing is that if you're on dial-up, it will take 5 years to get the email. I use WinMX to d/l music. Seems to be the only one left with no spyware. IP: Logged |

See this is the problem.. hmm. VAA, do you know an DJ's willing to put this together for you? I know some that possibly would.. but it'd take so long for them to get all the tracks together, in between their gigs, & send it over to the US.. that's why I wondered bout the timescale IP: Logged |

An after thought, you can obtain most of those songs - the newer ones, on available mix CD's, brand new tunes for not that expensive. Someone I know in Brooklyn has lots of them if anyone's interested.. but you want the personal touch eh? IP: Logged |

Shea....About the mixes, see, I sorta gave the friend a finish date of late September, and now I'm realizing there's only one month left... Is that too soon for your DJ friends to put it together?LibraSparkle.... see, I'd have no issue downloading the songs, cause I can do that at school as long as I save them to a disk, but we can't actually download programs to the computers themselves. I'm still pretty open to any and all low-cost possibilities.... ------------------ -K "Most people love with restraint As if they were someday to hate We hated gently, carefully As if we were someday to love"-Venus Trines at Midnight IP: Logged |

Arr shucks.. well I'll have a word over this weekend, it's 3am now so won't be able to see till Sun or Mon. They're mainly hiphop DJ's so most of the songs should be accessible, I just think they'll have time problems. Can you access DJ's where you are? I found a website that could mix a tape for you, but haven't looked into it as yet. Lemme know what you think; http://www.rosswhite.com/archives/000149.php email:ross@unc.edu IP: Logged |

OH, I wish I had seen this when you started the thread, I could have helped you out. But a tech is picking up my pc tomorrow, and we have to remove all upgrade and memory files from it, which means I can't really download a bunch of songs.... I'm sorry ,hun! I can do it in about another week, when we get it back, but I imagine it will be too late then.... Hope somebody can help you out! Ghani IP: Logged |

Oh hun, sorry you've had no luck yet The club DJ's are unable to.. I haven't heard back from two though.. whoa time flies! Seeing as most of them use vinyls - and hiphop ones at that - they don't have some of the songs you've requested, however I just left a VM, I'll let you know when I hear .. Best bet may be asking at a local record store in the States though? ------------------ "The past is history, the future is a mystery, & this moment is a gift.. that's why it's called 'the present'." Ummm... pretty brash, I think, the title of this topic. I hope no one from certain Recording-Artist rights groups is doing a Google search... IP: Logged |
