I just wondered what our average age group was? Not that it really matters or makes any huge difference. Still I can't help wondering... Randall?

Oh my you are so predictable Randall. I knew when I posted you'd say that!

Surely if you are "eternal" then the counting of meaningless earth years can be of no real consequence to you anyway. Gosh I have no problem with age myself. I decided that I'm never going to allow myself to get old and decepit anyway, so it's utterly of no importance how these earth years are measured.

Shall I guess yours?

I reckon you must be around 30ish. Give or take a couple of years?

Anyway I was hoping for the average age. Full of "eternal" information you are!!!!

Guys, why is it such a problem? I was simply curious about the average LL participant. I suspect most of you wear watches, use calenders, and celebrate all the appropriate holidays. Why the apprehension?

I'll have to play all by myself *sniff* *sniff*

Hi Gia!

I'm 26. And my nickname 26taurus comes from my Sun being at 26 degrees Taurus, not because I'm 26 years old. That's just a coincidence. Mmmmmkaaay?

*wonders how old I would be if one was able to add up all of their lifetimes years....hmmm?*

....and how young are you?!?!

..............oh, and I don't wear a watch either - never have - I find them to be an annoyance....

I am.. *great big sigh* 27.
I am using retinol on my forehead as we speak. It is a pre-emptive inclination.
*sigh*

( I know you all thought I was actually a 14 year old boy.. so my humour would indicate.)

I've told you guys my age in countless posts, aaannnd may I add have also posted my full date of birth.

Thank you Libra for your very informative contribution. I'm afraid however that one response is hardly adequate in terms of finding out the average age of the LL participants.

Jay,
Hello sweetie. I heard you were so very cute. How are you doing? I hope we'll here from you again soon. Please tell Philly [your mom ] I'm already well aware I'm odd thank you very much. My husband kindly informs me of that fact daily. As for shoe size? You must have big plates of meat for feet!

I have a friend who never wears a watch. She rarely needs it, mainly because she uses everyone else as a bloody time keeping device. I suppose you turn up for a dentist appointment whenever it takes your fancy, or catch a plane using the latest visualization techniques.

Such a simple question guys!!!!

There's a clock in my car

I keep my house clock about 5 minutes fast to trick myself into being on time... it doesn't really work though

Pixelpixie,

Thanks for your contribution. You do not need retinol. You are beautiful and far too young to need it. Watch out or you'll become obsessive like me. Please don't *sigh*
it's like frowning. I tap my forehead every time I frown. I guess it's no wonder Mr. Gia thinks I'm one sandwich short of a picnic, the amount of times I bang myself about in one day. I'm sure one of these days he'll generously offer to do it for me.

I am not tired and I don't use spell check. I am now off to loose another game of chess. I've not won a single game for years. I don't know why I bother really. I guess I keep on hoping.

Frown? No bloody way!!!
I don't even want to smile anymore, for these annoying smile wrinkles.. ( So I have had them since was 16... so what?! )
You know what though? My skin is looking dull and my forehead is dehydrated. I need more antioxidants, more sleep and a better diet. The crappy thing? I still get acne.. and I have oily skin. So I have a hormonal breakout on my chin, pores that are trying hard to be large comodones. (damn them, I clean them too well for them to expand) and fine wrinkles in my forehead.
I have to stop being so animated.. thats all. I will simply stop talking. I will not even gesture. I will carry around a dry erase marker and a white board. I will learn to write really fast. I will never laugh.

I know I know, obsessive. I'd rather have a face that showed I laughed than one devoid of expresion. But still---- it's annoying. I'm no longer a smug youthful looking woman.. I am a woman who is youthful looking.. but is aware of the ticking.... I don't even get carded anymore!!!

I always get carded... unless I have my kids with me.

I still get carded for cigarettes sometimes too!

I think it's cuz I'm short. Makes me look even younger.

Hubby got asked if he wanted the senior citizen discount once, he's only 45. A few years ago, I was carded at WAWA when buying smokes! I was 39! I said what are you nuts?
Geeeezzzz!

Well okay.. My pride has to say that yes, once and a while I do get carded. And men on my nights out always think I am early twenties... but they just want to see the goods. You do look young though, Librasparkle.. it must be all those spankings!

Ahh, good question, Gia. I think ''on average'', it's probably mid-early thirties. I don't really know how many teens are here, so it may be the early thirties if their ages balance out our more experienced participants.

Myself, I'm 23 years old since January 21st.

And I don't have a watch, never been able to keep one. I remember when I was 12, gold Mickey Mouse watches were super hip, and I begged my mum to buy me one. I wore it once and then forgot about it. Keeping track of time in general is pretty darn difficult for me; like I care what time it is on planet earth when I'm more interested in what time it is on Uranus!! Ah, timekeeping, silly invention to break days into organizable blocks of ''time''. Bah, what a foolish notion!!

A simple question, Gia? Is anything regarding time passages really so simple?

I rarely tell my age to anyone. If I were to say "I am fifty years old," most people would have expectations of me based on that time-line. I would be expected to be mature, married and/or divorced, children, grandchildren, a good idea of who I am and what I want. Where I've been would be considered more interesting than where I'm going because, after all, there can't be much waiting for a woman over fifty (of course I am being ironic).

If I were to say "I am twenty one," different expectations would await me. It would be alright to be naive, the best years would await me, et cetera.

Whether we like it or not, our minds automatically calculate such judgements, at least to a certain degree. How often do we listen to the voice on the radio with an image in our heads that is shattered when we actually see that person?

I prefer not to live in someone else's box. Just keep 'em guessing. There are pics of me here, people can guess my age, if it's important. I've talked about certain chart positions that would enable people to make a guess-timate if they were so inclined.
