If you go by Linda's Lexis:

JESUS OF NAZERETH

JESUS NEAR TO NATURE...AND TO TEH SEA
JESUS (is) THE SON OF THE SUN
HE HEARS THE ONE TRUE NOTE OF THE STONES AT STONEHEN(g)E!
JESUS (and) OS(I)R(I)S ARE ONE ...(continues)

and

SAINT FRANSIS OF ASSISI

OSIRIS ARISES IN FRANCIS
FRANCIS IS OSIRIS!

When we invite Jesus, do we get them all... or do we have to invite them seperately?

Cuz, really... I want 'em ALL there.

I would invite:

The Dalai Lama
Maynard James Keenan
Ronald Reagan
Nancy Reagan
My mom
Homer
Menes (1st Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh)
Alexander the Great

...or, if it were possible, I would nix the other six guests and invite God and my mother.

I know you said no family or friends, but I'd have to invite the Mom unit. She's the best

Talaith,

A girl after my own heart.

Blatvasky - Should we invite the masters too?
How about the invisible ones,
should we bother?

Wilhelm Reich - Are you aware some people
think he's still alive?

Simone de Beauvoir - I have some questions
about her book
'The Second Sex'

Leonardo de Vinci - I'd like him to design a
washing machine just
like the one in
'Lost In Space'

A great choice Talaith.

i don't know, do the invisible masters count as 'bodies'....would they partake of a gourmet vegan meal???

well, as for other masters, on a different night, perhaps i'd invite Nicholas Flamel and St. Germain.

i guess i'd ask John Donne, and William Blake and his wife, Catherine also (they could read Paradise Lost as Adam and Eve for us ).

and Joan of Arc, St. Teresa of Avila, Salome and Pope Joan.

Gia ~ do you believe Wilhelm Reich is still living...

Joan of Arc! I would have her too. I'd like to discern for myself if she was insane, or a divine channel.

No Pixie, although come to think of it, that could be very entertaining.

I meant the guy credited with writing The Odessey, The Iliad, and some other stuff. I'd want to speak to him because he is one of the oldest known Greek authors, and I want to know more about the sub-Mycanaean - Archaic period in Greece. He's one of the few older historical figures from Ancient Greece that I'm familiar with. I would substitute him with perhaps a Minoan King/Queen actually, but I don't know any of their names (don't even know if history knows any of their names).

But you have to admit, Homer Simpson would be fun too!
*drool drool* "Mmmmmmmmm... uh-huh-huh-huh- Donuts"

Okay, Homer is first on my list then.
I wanna' meet all you knowflakes though, so instead of all these famous people, I'll throw a party for you, and you can tell me all about why you want to meet these particular peeps.
And I will make pie.
And have big bowls of bar-be-que potato chips for Gia.
Fruit and Skor dip. For the indulgent ones.
What else? Any requests?

Yes Paras a wonderful choice.

Aldous they say, was always stoned during his Brave New World days. I suspect he could discuss the growing of magic mushrooms and such like with Peter Thompkins - He writes garden and soil books does he not?

Did you know that Aldous had really bad eye problems and that he thought too much sex was to blame?

No really, the reason I know that is I have a book by Bates that mentions the treating of Aldous Huxley. Just a little snippet of totally useless information for you.

Ralph can sit with Edgar and have a quiet transcendalist session.

Bruce Lee can chop up all the salad. Hmmmm shame you didn't invite Vincent along, he would not have needed to do his own ear removal.

John would sit next to Linda I suppose and
'Imagine' all the people....

Ahhh, Gia. Still makin' me smile.

Peter Tompkins (no 'h') wrote The Secret Life of Plants, yes -- which I suppose is a soil and mineral book. But he also wrote Secrets of the Great Pyramid (an all-time favorite of mine) and a lot of other books about the "Secrets of" things. Check him out!

BTW, how were the potato chips? What brand were they? I always liked Lay's. But not that icky K.C. Masterpiece flavor. :P You know you have to go on the lemonade fast now to purge that out, right??

talaith? Is Duchamp an artist? The name is familiar, from a distant History of art lesson (I think).. I just can't place him.. being at work, I can't Google right now.

Thank you

I'm lovin' the choices guys and gals!

Tolkien would be a fantastic guest. He could
speak in Elfen with Bob Marley who I'm totally sure would so stoned he'd understand perfectly.

Duchamp would paint Marie Antonette, who I'm sure would exchange hair tips with Bob Marley
and may even decide to dreadlock her own wig "Ooou la la!"

Bob and Tennyson would write a "Bush" protest song and finally for dessert, Marie would serve everyone cake. Not forgetting to add, using the 'Emeril version' of the guillotine to slice it... the cake I mean!

Pixelpixie,
Did you know there is a book out about the philosophy of the Simpsons? It's a dead serious philosophy book. I also believe Homer Simpson's name has been added to the dictionary. I haven't seen a recent publication of a dictionary, so I'm not positive. I heard it on the news!

And then Eddie Izzard could come in and ask Marie..."Marie dahlink, cake or death?"

I know...I'm a sick puppy...
