I've been wondering if there aren't more independents and democratics than Repulicians on this board, so I thought that I'd take a poll. Since you don't have to reply if you don't want to, there isn't any pressure one way or the other. Please reply by stating Republican, Democratic, or Independent. If you care to share who you plan to vote for, fine but not required. I'm independent going with Kerry and Edwards. Lanny IP: Logged |

I dont vote. And I dont label myself with Republican, Democrat, or Independent or any thing else."If voting could change anything, it would be illegal." --Graffiti Don't vote, it only encourages them. ~Author Unknown We'd all like to vote for the best man, but he's never a candidate. ~Frank McKinney "Kin" Hubbard Those who are too smart to engage in politics are punished by being governed by those who are dumber. ~ Plato Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong. ~Richard Armour ....and please - no one tell me that I should vote and why you think it is important to. I've heard it all before. I'm just answering IIIog's question here.

Dear Mr. Political Affiliations,You and I do not get along. I just want to be me and have my beliefs and not have to be put into a little quaint division! It annoys me because I hate putting things into categories, especially my beliefs. Just let me think what I want to think, please. I don't agree 100% with any of your parties, and probably never would unless they made one especially for me because I'm a stubborn know-it-all. Thank you. This is great! Finding out how many like-minded, apolitical knowflakes we have around here! I don't think I even need to say it, but count me in for the NO PARTY category. When I see a candidate wise enough to say, "You know what? Parties are stupid, just listen to what *I*, personally, believe in...", maybe I'll care to vote!IP: Logged |

Well, golly. What a question. I personally don't have any particular party that I follow nor vote for. What would be nice is if we had a solid third party to distribute the power that seems to exist within the Democratic and Republican parties. And as far as voting goes, I don't think I'll be back to vote, so nobody. But I think I would vote for Nader. All those that said ''a vote for Nader was a vote for Bush'' were just trying to scare potential Green Party voters, in my opinion. I think those who want to see a change in American Politics would do well to vote for him and get the Green Party their 5%. Maybe someday..... sigh** Ghani IP: Logged |

I'm registered with the Green Party too.I'm in a swing state so I may vote for Kerry.. even though the thought of it makes me want to retch.. My heart is with Nader or Kucinich. I recently saw the movie 'Iron Jawed Angels' about the struggle and torture some amazing women had to go through to get the vote for women and now I could no longer live with myself if I didn't vote. The ghost of Alice Paul would haunt me if I don't! I know this isn't the place to lecture about such things but I just can't bite my tongue and want to say to the ladies who don't vote to atleast see that movie and then decide. IP: Logged |
