Being a guy, of course I don't like the extreme chick flicks, but there are lots that I enjoy. What are some of your faves? Here are mine:First Daughter (absolutely charming and not at all the tired plot you'd expect it to be) 50 First Dates 13 Going On 30 Never Been Kissed Ella Enchanted She's All That

One of my favorite chick flicks is; 'Playing By Heart'. Angelina Jolie and Ryan Phillipe star in it along with a long list of other famous actors.....that woman from the X-files, forget her name.........anyway, have you seen it Randall? If not, you should pick it up. I think you'd like it. Very good flick. IP: Logged |

OMG!!!That is my all time fave rom-com, 26!! My best mate and I watch that everytime we get together, it's such an amazing story, and the acting is superb!! Nobody has ever heard of that movie, so glad to know somebody else loves it, too!! I also like: Ever After Pretty Woman Forces of Nature Intolerable Cruelty I know there are others, but I can't think of them now. Good topic, Randall!! Ghani IP: Logged |

Hmmm...I really want to reply to this, but after doing some Google searching, I realize I haven't actually seen that many movies that are outright "chick flicks". The few I have would probably be on anyone's list and not worth mentioning. But, being a sappy, sentimental Libra, I always enjoy the romantic sub-plot of any movie. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Human Stain with Anthony Hopkins in it... looks awesome! IP: Logged |

About A BoyIt's one of my all-time fave chick flicks. paras, I don't think The Human Stain qualifies as chick flick material. It put me to sleep, anyway. Love, Actually Fried Green Tomatoes Four Weddings and A Funeral Ground Hog Day Hugh Grant is in 3 of those films...oh wait I can make it 4 if I can just remember the name of the movie he was in with Julia Roberts...darn...
I like British and Irish guys. IP: Logged |

D'oh!I don't know how I forgot one of 'em: Steel Magnolias Practical Magic (mentioned above) was also a fun one. tril - Ground Hog's Day's a chick flick? re: Hugh Grant: Not usu. a big fan. One of my favorite parts of Bridget Jones' Diary was when Colin Firth's character punched Grant's. Hard. IP: Logged |

Prox, rent About A Boy, then let me know what you think of Hugh. Ground Hogs Day...dunno. It was mushy, right? Love story and all...maybe a stretch but men only watch it 'cause it's Bill Murray. IP: Logged |

Pretty in Pink(Molly Ringwald). Ever since I was a little girl it's been my favorite! I'll admit it's a little cheezy and very 80's lolIP: Logged |

Oh, you too pix?! Yes, a little obscure. A romantic/comedy/drama with a twist. Everyone I've seen it with is like 'What is going on?' And yes, Jon Stewart, Anne Bancroft, Sean Connery, Jay Mohr, Dennis Quaid...... IP: Logged |

I'm one of those people you hate to go to movies with, because I always pipe up- "Well, that would NEVER happen in a real relationship!" I cringe and hide my face like I'm at a horror film at the really, really sappy ones.Dunno if you would call Sixteen Candles a romantic comedy? ------------------ "Out of your depth or not, it's up to you whether you sink or swim." The Human Stain: It was probably a good book. I had some issues with the movie aside from how boring it was. Just wasn't right. I'm also very uncomfortable with sex scenes involving Anthony Hopkins... love his movies... don't wanna see him nekid IP: Logged |

I agree on The Human Stain, LS. Totally unbelievable, from Nicole as a maid who gets naked for A. Hopkins after he gives her a ride home, to Gary Sinise dancing up close with him...blah. It put me to sleep. Literally.Speaking of Gillian Anderson, what was the period piece she made a few years ago? I'll have to look that up...it was a great chick flick. I love period pieces...Sense & Sensibility, another fave chick flick with Hugh Grant! IP: Logged |

Yea I just saw The Human Stain and didn't like it much either. I have a crush on Gary Sinice but other than that it was still boring. And I had to close my eyes during the Hopkins and Kidman love scene! IP: Logged |
