Thanks so much, everyone I've had a very nice day. Mellow and relaxing. My youngest stayed home *sick* today... though she seems fine to me. We spent the day snuggling on the couch and reading. We read all of Judy Blume's Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, and started Superfudge. I love kid's books! There's gonna be a grown-ups bash on Friday. I'll report back on the drunken silliness later IP: Logged |

What was the coolest about it is that we took turns reading pages. She's 6 and in 1st grade! She just read half a book that was written at a 9-12 year old reading level *proud mama*

Awwwww.. LibraSparkle! What a smartypants! Can't wait to hear about the adult party. I have the weekend off, maybe I'll fly down and partake. We videotaped our daughter tonight 'reading' her books.. cuz it is so funny.. she doesn't read read.. but she remembers books, and makes her own words and expressions.. which really, is the first step to reading readiness.... She read Robert Munsch "The Paperbag Princess" and "Are you my Mother?" So cute... IP: Logged |

Hey Pix, C'mon down! My apartment's not big, but mysofa's comfy Those are both great books. My kids used to do the same thing before they learned to read. Soooo cute! I'm so excited and proud of my babies . I swear... every stage is my FAVORITE stage. It's so fun to watch them learn. It's almost like your not really teaching them, but just showing them something they already know but have forgotten. One day it just clicks. It's amazing. IP: Logged |

I think I'll see if I can borrow my MIL's digital camera for the grown-up party tomorrow. Then for the kiddo's slumber party Saturday night (my Libra baby)... then I can post them IP: Logged |
