Ok... so you know how when you're looking for a job, you submit several applications and/or resumes to ensure you WILL get a job?Ok... well, I didn't plan on more than one (or even more than two for that matter) oppertunity would come out of this for me.
So... You know about Companion Pet Clinic. Wild Oats called me for an interview. I went in yesterday. I was there meeting with different managers for nearly two hours. I'm positive they're going to offer me a job. So... I get home from my interview and check my Caller ID log. Companion Pet Clinic called. Looked further... Trader Joes called.
OMG The one day I leave my house and TWO possible employers call me back.
So, I started off my calling Companion Pet Clinic back. The want me to come in for a working interview. So. That's scheduled.
Called Trader Joes. They want me to come in for an interview. Scheduled.
Alright, well... Companion Pet Clinic is only looking for someone to work 2-3 days a week, but the days are 10-11 hours.
Wild Oats wants someone to work full time (preferable) either as a checker, or someone for the grocery department (straighten shelves, helping customers, and other stuff I don't know about). I'd hope for checker, but whatever... I just want to get a job and get out of my house! It's weird to be here when my kids are gone. I don't like it. I feel like I'm wasting away.
I don't know what Trader Joes wants. I'll know that Friday.
I don't know what to do... Should I tell the Vet people that I am also looking into being hired at Wild Oats... but, *IF* Wild Oats falls through, I don't want to screw myself out of the receptionist position.
I don't really know how to handle this. It's sounding like I'm probably going to be offered both the Wild Oats and the Companion Pet Clinic positions. I used to work with the manager of the clinic years ago when I was a barista at a trendy little cafe downtown. One of my very best friends works for Wild Oats (we met as co-workers at the trendy little cafe too) has highly recommended me to the management, and they LOVE her (as does everyone... she rocks).
I really don't know how to handle this (did I say that already?).
Any words of wisdom, dear Knowflakes?
