It's coming, it's coming! The end is near! That is, the end of October . And that means one thing: HALLOWEEN! My favorite holiday! So, what are you going to be this year? I'm planning on being Salvador Dali. I'm probably going to get this and make a crazy Dali moustache out of it, buy a really cheap plastic pimp cane if I can find one, and I'll just wear a suit jacket and pants with that. I have a question- did Dali wear green knee socks? My friend mentioned it in passing, but I can't find out whether he was making it up or something. I might still incorporate them into my outfit though- oh, and I'll probably wear a Les Montres shirt underneath the jacket and a paintbrush behind my ear so people will have a better idea of who I am . It's on a Sunday this year though. Arrness. ------------------ "Reality leaves a lot to the imagination." - John Lennon IP: Logged |

I think I would like to be Gelinda the good Witch from the Wizard of OZ. I don't know if I spelled her name right or not. Solane Star LOL IP: Logged |

I don't know if I'm going to dress up this year. I have to get costumes for my kids, so I might not have the money. If that's the case, I'll prolly get some pink hair color or something like that IP: Logged |

awesome! someone is as obsessed about halloween as i am! i love it. i started asking people what they were going to be and reminding them halloween is coming up over a month ago! this year i think i'm going to make it really easy and be what i am - a witch. i'm feeling a tad ironic lately. on another note - day light savings ends on halloween. i think it might make for a very good time to hunt for ghosts, considering that halloween is seen as being a "doorway" between worlds and pushing time back seems to create another kind of "doorway". it's a door within a door! happy spooking! OOOooh, I love Hallowe'en. My fave too! I have already taken inventory of past costumes, and I have an idea on this years... I will be on stage for the 30th, so I need to dress up for that.. considering the nature of things, of course, I must be something sultry.. I cannot be like frankenstein for instance.... so I am thinking like a fallen angel or something.. I have a long satin black dress that fits quite well.. and I can always make lacy tattered wings. I think that's what I will be. I have been a pixie in years before, a go-go-dancer... rapunzel, medusa, carrie (blood soaked prom queen)... I dunno. I think a fallen angel is good. I like just talking about it, I get excited!!!!IP: Logged |

Hey Pix... what about a belly dancer? Halter top, long skirt, shawl tied around your waist... pick up some bindies, throw on a doo-rag. Cheap, easy.I'm not going to be a belly dancer again this year... I've played that card too many times.

So, I decided that even though I would love to be Dali, I'm going to be a stereotypical French man instead. I'll wear one of those weird French hats that artists wear, a black turtleneck, and I'll probably keep the insane Dali moustache. Everytime someone gives me candy, I'll do that weird French laugh, you know "Hohohoh" . I'll go around saying things like "Les stupide americains" and "Bush is a petit cochon". Heh, I'll probably put a paintbrush behind my ear too and say "I AM AN ARTEEEEST!" Maybe carry around a little French flag. I know pixelpixie, I'm excited too! =D IP: Logged |

Yippie!!I have organized (with a little help from some mates) a Halloween party to be held in my Libra's folks' pub. We contacted all the distributors and got them to send tons of promotional decorations and freebies for a great night! We can't charge an entry fee, so we're doing up a coldron for dontaions, all proceeds are going to the women's hospice here in Portsmouth. We are also doing a raffle, and the locals are donating some stuff for us to raffle off, like a ''ladies'' basket with candles, bubble bath, a bottle of wine, and a good book, and for the men, a subscription to a man-mag. Lots of other stuff has been donated too. The proceeds from the raffle are going to the hospice, too. It's a fancy dress party, and I'm going to do a bunch of food, too. We got a couple of cd's with Halloween songs on them, so we'll put them in the jukebox. It should be a really great night!! Mr. Libra and I are going as Bonnie and Clyde (not terribly original, but he's not up for going as anything else). We're really excited about it!! It's my fave holiday, my mum always has costume parties at her house, so I decided to bring the Halloween spirit with me to England. HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Ghani IP: Logged |

*LOVES HALLOWEEN* Unfortunately, there's a little suckage involved this year: Jase was going to make both of us masks (being an artsy type a guy, he can do that), but he's been stuck on funeral detail (being one of the soldiers at military funerals) - including an over-nighter and a trip up to B'ham today - for the past week, and may be so this weekend, too. So, we don't have any costumes, but Meg's gonna be a little black cat Post trick-or-treating is set for 6-8 PM tomorrow (Saturday), so I've got a bit of prep to get done. We didn't have the $$ for an awful lot, but we got 9 bags of candy (besides of hordes of soldier's children, kids come in from the surrounding towns because the houses are easy access and the roads are safe), a creepy motion-sensitive (and loud) sign, some skulls on stakes, some cobwebs and spray-on glow-in-the-dark stuff. We also have four pumpkins waiting to be jack-o-lanterned up (a wee one, a medium-sized one, a largish one, and a huge one) - if Jase doesn't make it back tomorrow, I'll just do'em - and a bunch of brown paper bags and wax paper (I'm going to make Halloween luminary-type-things). OH! And Nepthy's cider-stuff so the house smells yummy when we open the door IP: Logged |

Naw, Jase isn't in the flight program anymore (But I'm impressed that you remember ) The wee one's Meg's on up through Jase, and then the huge one's the whole family's. IP: Logged |
