Good question moonbaby. I tend to swing back and forth between detatchment and just not giving a sh*t. I think detatchment is the more positive form of not giving a sh*t. The Zen of not giving a sh*t. You know?

Some might say I'm too detached. It's a nice place to be, I say.
Buddha was a Taurus.

Can one be too detatched?

..........Ehhh...who gives a sh*t!

26....i think the question to ask ourselves is 'when does detachment become not giving a **** '?
cos its easy to not give a **** but are you just kidding yourself....or are you actually elevated....becoming like buddha himself

Well, honestly I think detatchment comes from a higher place. Detatchment can be healthy. Especially if you are trying to get there through meditation or other spiritual means. And within the detatchment you still feel love.

Whereas when you dont give a sh*t, you dont care about yourself or others. That obviously isnt healthy and tells you alot.

So, if you can be detatched but still 'give a **** ' in a detatched way, that is when you know you are in a good place.

But if by being 'detatched' you arent taking proper care of yourself or mistreating others and 'not giving a sh*t' about anything, that is probably depression.

Here is a similar situation.
The psychological term called "disassociation" (detatched) meaning you are not consciously aware you do not give a sh*t. And are detatched unknowingly.

Dis-association, means you are making a conscious effort to step aside, acknowledge what's going on. But in this situation, you have a conscious choice to or not to give a sh*t.
Does that help?

P.S. Moonbaby, you can't say sh*t here but you can say "Just not giving a feck" He He

26, with proper therapy and lots of time, you can integrate you unknowing self with your conscious self. There is hope! Sometimes I think we are better off being disassociated though.
