Today was a fantabulous day because Meghan has been exceptionally sight-clingy (she's fine playing independently as long as she can see me; the moment I'm out of view, she goes nuts). That is, except for a brief 10 minutes or so. I left her playing quietly with a cloth book and a little square noise maker thing on a blanket on the floor of her room when Jase called to give me an ETA from the funeral detail of which he's a part today. To my surprise, no crying followed. I talked to Jase for a good 3-4 minutes. Still no crying. Taking advantage of this reprieve, I put the wash into the dryer. Still no crying. Curious, I went back to her room. She was sitting and playing in a puddle of her own curdly, yellow breast-fed poop, clapping her hands and stomping her feet, in doing so splashing the feces about. She was so happy with her new discovery. So happy. She continued to clap and grin as I peeled her poopy clothes off of her, taking care to get no yellow on her face and hair. TWAFD also because we ate Cheerios together. IP: Logged |

Delightful for you I'm sure prox! Little cutie But ahh.. doughnut seeds to make it better Yup my 26 fingered friend - sushi is scrummy! In the spirit of TWAFD - it was because I selected some luuurvely London postcards for friends, & I didn't get stepped on, shoved or almost pushed to the road on the ancient, yet stubbornly jerky routemaster (ye olde red buses) once It was raining too, yes, but..oh-oh I managed to not get run over by a taxi at a pedestrian crossing - was just gonna cross a clear road when a taxi appeared to my left from what seemed to be nowhere! Betty Boo type thing happening there, close! *wiping brow* IP: Logged |

Prox, you reminded me of a story... of course it's a POOP/KID story So... My oldest (Kayla) was about 7 months old. Walking pretty well (which is a whole other story). I went outside for a smoke. I would sit just outside the door with it open because she was so small... didn't want to leave her TOO unattended. This day in particular, I was just sitting on the door step. Kayla came toddling up to me and put her hands on my shoulders. So, I put out my smoke and turned to pick her up. She was COVERED in brown stuff. I looked down at my shoulders... same mysterious brown stuff. *CLICK* OMG! The mysterious brown stuff is sh!t!!!! EEEWWWW. So I grab her up and start to head to the shower (for both of us) BUT... it gets worse. All along the wall leading up to the door is a series of hand prints and some smears. I thought I was going to puke, or die, or both! It was so disgusting. I had the smell of poo in my nose for days! Anyhoo... TWAFD because I spent super quality time with my kids. I chaperoned a field trip for Kayla's class to OMSI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry). Very cool . Then we went to the pumpkin patch and picked up some pumpkins for Sunday. THEN we went to the Blazer game. Danacia's (dah-nay-sha) first. She had a blast. The child absolutely LOVES to be as loud as possible... so this was definitely her forte Blazers won by 2 ... close game from the very beginning. It was great fun!
