You'd be correct! We're all interesting people in this forum ...

That's a great idea. On the old, old, old LG site from a loooonnnng time ago, (like in 1999 and earlier), there actually was a member list. There was a page with white boxes, where it would list the person's name, picture, Sun, Moon, and Rising sign, and where they were from. Randall, would you be interested in doing something like this? I know it would be quite a project. IP: Logged |

It could be just a matter of bandwidth. This site is not the fastest site, in case anyone's noticed. We can keep costs down by sliding it over to our MSN hood.Another thing is, many people here share private moments in their life, and there is an unspoken loyalty in that, we respect each other's privacy. That's why 50% of your member list will have come from "out there in space" or "over the hill" or "paradise" - We already have a Profile section and NO ONE uses it. IP: Logged |

This isn't a fast site? It's instant for me (cable modem). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

No Randall. This site has never been fast for me. Whether AOL was on or off, but more often than not, even with IE browser 6.0. Whether I had phone or cable modem going.Probably more to do with I don't know, CGI stuff because it can't be the graphics. I'm not one of those snobby speedy gonzalez' - even if it took one hour for the modem to connect me, I'd still be in as much awe of the Internet. I'm saying in comparison to many other sites, it's not that fast. If I observe this while everything on this end remains constant, I have to assume it's coming from the other end. I'm not complaining - I'm just saying the MSN diggs can be a good alternate, since we do deal with sensitive issues here sometimes. We will not learn as much if people are not willing to share their personal experiences. Sorry - didn't mean to start the drag race without you. IP: Logged |

I reckon IE's not that great. Paras once recommended Firefox, and I LOVE IT - http://www.mozilla.org/ version 1 just came out so I'm upgrading. It's a very small file (4.7 MBytes) to download, but so fast. It also has popup blocking and google built in.I think the reason its so fast is because it's like a text browser first, and the come the images, so you can surf off without waiting. Plus, it has tabs which are great for viewing multiple sites. Each window can have many tabs so changing the windows helps manage the sites, if you get my drift. Anyhow, that's my "good karma" for the day... Dean. IP: Logged |
