Two years! And I forgot! Last year, we both forgot and my Mother-In-Law reminded us!This year hubby was prepared... He gave me a beautiful card with a lottery ticket inside. I made a comment that Nov. is usually a lucky month for me. So, I scratched of the ticket, and low and behold we won $5,000!!! Moments of joy followed, and then I turned over the ticket to read the instructions on how to claim your prize. "Prizes of $5,000 and up must be presented to LOSERS R US, P.O. BOX- YOU HAVE BEEN DOOPED, BIG JOKE, IDAHO." Of course I was ****** , but I got over it. Could have used that money for Christmas! He said if I had remembered our anniversery, I would have gotten the beautiful Jewel globe I've had my eye on for some time. (he'll get it for me, I know.) So, don't forget your Anniversery Ladies! Happy 2nd Anniversary to you and your hubby, Philbird! I'm sorry about the lottery ticket, but you know what they say - If you are not lucky at gambling you are most certainly lucky in love IP: Logged |

Awwwwwwwwwww... much rather be lucky in love than gambling. Good trade off.Congratulations!!!! Two years of wedded plant energy experiments, egg hatching, bird raising, hair raising, midnight sleep eating, tennant complaint fielding, crystal in crevace of butt wearing, assorted other fields of silliness with some seriousness thrown in bliss. Happy Aniversary! I'd just like to add that on my first month Anniversary (almost a month ago) I set fire to our apartment! Talk about a heated anniversary! Everyone's fine of course. Dean. IP: Logged |

Yeah, of course, I'm not a pyro It's gonna cost me to fix it though. We got a fondue set for our wedding (need I say more, well, ok) I was trying to light it up in the living room, but it kept blowing out. I closed the windows, but it was stilling happening. So the Einstein part of me thought "I'll go fill it up again in the kitchen, light it, and carry it to the living room". Well, half way back, the thing fell and spilled burning kerocene all over the floor. Some spilt on boxes next to it, and in an instant it seemed everything went up. So I ran out of the apartment and grabbed the fire extinguisher. I came back, and the fire went down a bit. I sprayed it everywhere and sighed. Then of course, three metres away the wooden chair went up, so I sprayed that too. Now I've gotta replace the whole thing and that's gonna cost, but oh well. At least it didn't land on my foot, or the couch where Sal was sitting. Sorry to throw this in your thread Dean. IP: Logged |

*gasp* I know it must have been horrendously real at the time, but you handled it well, and just think of the great story it makes.. you'll be telling your grandkids, at their wedding..."Why Grampa doesn't believe in fondue sets as gifts..."IP: Logged |
