A partridge in a pear tree, 2 turtle doves, 3 french hens, 4 calling birds, 5 golden rings, 6 geese a laying, 7 swans a swimming, 8 maids a milking, 9 ladies dancing, 10 lords a leaping, 11 pipers piping, 12 drummers drumming (I sang this song with a choir virtually every year for my entire school career) You know... Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donder, and Blitzen ...BUT do you recall the most famous reindeer of all? Up to: "When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a miniature sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer... with a little old driver so lively and quick, I knew in a moment it must be St. Nick." (I read this story every Christmas Eve to my kiddos. Gimme a few more years, and I should have the whole thing down.)
