*grumbles*I just wrote a whole post that didn't pass processing muster due to too many images. When I hit the back button, it had been eaten. Grr. OK, so once again, though not as eloquently... I miss this place, but things've been so hectic (read: I've been chasing a crazy blonde monkey named Meghan Shea, Attempted Eater of Lady Bugs Who've Found Their Way Into My House to Die, Dustbunnies, and Pennies; Would-Be Best-Buddy of Harry, our cat; and Grand High-PooBah Beater of Plastic, especially DVDs) that I haven't had much time. I've read a little more than I've posted, but not by much. OK, some quiet time to...crash...GeezusPleezus OK, Meg's asleep, I can...MAAAAHHMAAAAHMAAAAAA! Phhhph. Not that I'm complaining, really - this time is for parents to remember when their kids're 12-17 and regard them as if they carry the plague. *looks around* Where was I? Oh, yeah. And before that we were up in Virginia for a spell - most of December into January, really. We bounced from house to house with no stable internet and family thronging to see us, so web-time just didn't get done. 26t - I didn't mean to leave you out...rose? @-^-- Nor did I mean to leave out anyone else. I love you all. If I'm not on as much as before, it's only because I trust that you'll keep the LL Homefires burning. IP: Logged |

Ahhhh, I have the same rug! She's a growin'. I know about mommy time! I don't think I slept for five years after Jay was born! I don't think he'll go through the I hate mom stage though. He'd rather play with me than his friends. Probably because I act more like a thirteen year old than he does. (Shut up Freud!)IP: Logged |

*realizes how much she's missed when the whole turtle reference zooms right over her head*Oh, and Today Was a Fantabulous Day b/c... I found a CD made for me by a wonderful Virgo of pics from the Habitat for Humanity Alternative Spring Break I went on in '03 (and Jazz that we listened to while on the trip) Taken on my 23rd Birthday. We only worked a half-day that day by chance, and spent from noon onward hiking in some devastatingly beautiful country followed by dinner out. IP: Logged |

Awwww, thank you for that Proxie! The pictures of your amazingly beautiful daughter bring my to a permanent smile that doesn't leave my face for hours and when people ask why I'm smiling so hard I say -There is that lady that I know through the Internet and she had a daugter in April 2004. Ever since I have been looking at the pictures she posts when she has time of the baby and her family. They are pictures full of life and love. They are pictures of joy and hope. That is why I'm smiling so hard. Thank you! IP: Logged |

Awww... Prox, thanks for finding the time to update us. You ladies are beautiful I think Pix is right about the Tigger pic. She's looking at you like you're really silly. I bet people stop you in public to tell you how cute she is. I'm one of those people. I always stop for cute babies. I like to show them my tongue ring. They usually get a real kick out of it. Yo, bebe... Nice do rag. What a cool kid! IP: Logged |

OK, I'm going to be replying in drips and drabs as the day goes on, from the bottom up I should be able to get one or two in right now...Meg's busy dancing. future_uncertain - I just put 'em up on-line (for free ). If you go to www.photobucket.com, you can upload your pics and then hotlink to them once you create a user name and password. It used to be an unlimited service, but I think he's charging now for that due to bandwidth constraints. You can still post a ton, though, for no charge - I think I have 9 pages of stuff up. LS - Yep People sure do...makes a trip to the commissary a several-hour thing, really. I bet Meg would _love_ your tongue ring. So far, men with beards are the only ones that throw her off. re: the Tigger pic: Aw, I'll speak to that up in my reply to pixelp since she's the one who noticed it first. (Gee, maybe I should go from the beginning to the end instead of vice-versa...oh, well.) Meg's talking to something...I better go see what it is.

LS - re: the do rag: Yeah, she kept trying to put that on her head one day as I was cleaning, so I just helped her out. She's very cool. She's so cool she can dance to the agitation (sp?) cycle on the washing machine. No, really. She does. It's adorable.ruman - *waves* It's great to meet you How old're your kids? If you have any pictures you'd like to share, I'm sure you'd have a more than willing audience here Rainbow - AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BY THE WAY! lalalinda - Shhhh! Don't tell her that! Her Leo Rising'll already be full enough of itself as it is IP: Logged |

How young is she now Prox? ------------------ "The stars which shone over Babylon and the stable in Bethlehem still shine as brightly over the Empire State Building and your front yard today. Ever since I have been looking at the pictures she posts when she has time of the baby and her family. They are pictures full of life and love. They are pictures of joy and hope. That is why I'm smiling so hard.*tear* (No, really - said in complete sincerity.) Aw. I'm glad these pics mean that much to you We're really just an average family. Jase and I have fights just like anyone else, though we don't go to sleep angry - one or the other of us'll pester the other until it's resolved and we're hugging. We're just moving and trying like everyone - but maybe that's where the love comes in pixelp - YUP! She's getting HAIR! You should see the back of her head; there's about twice as much of the slightly-reddish-blonde stuff back there as up front. re: the towel: Yeah. I put that on and was ducking behind the rim of the tub and popping back up. Meg was going nuts, splashing and giggling til I thought her little baby body wouldn't stop shaking. My Grandmommy then said, "Here, let me get a picture of you in that," and there you go. Meg gives me that look a lot. "Oh, gosh Mommy, you're so silly." Jase and I are doing well, even if I am a bit lonely. He's gone on funeral detail much of the time, though this weekend was a welcome respite (there were no overnighters on Sunday nor any funerals on Monday due to MLK Day). Since we got back from Virginia, I've been reading a bit (an interesing book, _Born to Buy_, some of the Earthsea books, _The Wisdom of Forgiveness_, _Clan of the Cave Bear_, and now _Valley of the Horses_) and reorganizing the house to the audio book versions of the Harry Potter books (I'm now on _The Goblet of Fire_) with _Truman_ waiting in the wings. So, yeah. Bored but busy, if that makes any sense at all. I'd have a weekend job right now if Jase's schedule was at all predictable, but for now it's not. It'd be silly for me to get a job during the week down here - minimum wage is pretty much the game in town - just to dole back my net income for child care. We got a new car - a Civic - so money's a bit tight, but we're getting rid of some extras so we can make the car and insurance payments. No more cable except for local channels (we wouldn't be able to pick them up with an antenna out here), for example - and I think that's a good thing. We watched too much frikkin' TV. trillian - *d'oh* YOU mentioned the Tigger towel first. I thought so, though, re: it being becoming. I kinda look like a Nun of the Order of Disney. Really? A lot of light? I thought that I mostly looked tired Thank you, though - I think that the pixieness in Meg is reflected in her Gemini stellium in the 11th. Her growing tendency to bite when angry must be her Aries Merc 26t - Yep, ladybugs. And cell phones. And remote controls. And Harry, our cat, but I think that that's out of love. I try to be a good Mom. I think that I succeed in being a goofy one IP: Logged |

Phil - Yep, growin' and a'growin'. And she got her first tooth a couple of days ago! The days of chewing on her thumb are coming to a close. I hope Meg'll like me when she's 13. If not, I'll have fun embarrasing her in public "Ohgawd, Mom - What ARE you wearing?!?" Gah, Meg's awake.
