I play flute, but not much anymore, so hard to find people to play with - seems so many are either on a wicked ego trip like its gotta be perfect professional and kill the fun, or can't play at all and think they're a superstar!!!! (too much partying usually accompanies and exasperbates these tendencies) but I need to get more music back into my life "sigh" ... IP: Logged |

I actually have lyrics I need to put music to!delerious I've had to deal with that too, I was in a band for 3 weeks and the singer wouldnt' keep to the practice schedule and the bassist had an ego trip and I ended up being like "screwwww this" IP: Logged |

Oh God. I used to live with a bunch of guy roomates that all played at least one instrument each. They'd always have people over and have jam sessions and a few would try to form a band every so often, but they'd all end up talking about how much the other one's sucked to me behind their backs. LOL! I'd listen to how bad each of them thought the other one played all the time. *shakes head* Musicians and their egos.......or guys I should say. So competitive sometimes. Ooooo pretty "Enchanted Flute" IP: Logged |

Oh cool! I love Aries. You know? ..I've always wanted to learn the harmonica. And I lovelovelove Bob Dylan. I'm obsessed with him. Just take a look at the old "Song Chain" thread and you'll see. LOL I know, I'm a hippie. I've seen him twice in concert. Once, I will admit, he really sucked. It's just cause he's old now. IP: Logged |

VTT. No, I saw your post about the banjo first. I've had a reeeeally synchronistic day though. There is lots of synchronicity in the air lately. Why do you need to get rid of your guitar? If you still have it when I'm not completely broke, maybe I'll buy it off of you. IP: Logged |

LOL I'll still have that guitar probably, I've really been sucky at making an effort to pawn things off. I just never use it, it sits in my room forever with no love. I don't like what I think is a "tinny" tone to it, but that's just my personal preference as I love my Les Paul's extremely warm tone. Otherwise it's good condition, working, no broken parts! WOO! think I just meant that it wasn't his chronological age that made him seem old - feel like he burned out + the creative juices stopped flowing.....IP: Logged |

Yeah, I think youre right delerious. I really dont have any of his new stuff. Alot of the old stuff which I love. But I can see what you mean.VTT, You need to pick it up! Give it some lovin'! I know what you mean about the tinny twangy guitars. My first acoustic was a Joshua. Most people have never heard of it, but they always commented on how great it sounded. My friend who owned a little guitar shop that I used to work at sold it to me really cheap.. He bought it for his mom, who wanted to learn and then she never picked it up. It had a cool pickguard with a silver rose on it. I'm trying to remember the name of the dobro...... Danny, I meant Be Right Back. Yes!!!!! Quite the hunk.....hair, everything. *swoon* IP: Logged |

26T oooo i want an acoustic! It'd definitely help, since one of my inspirations is a solo musician who does acoustic stuff (with an R2D2 drum machine hahaha). i can't seem to find anything to play with that twangyness since most of the stuff I like is metal or alt rock haha IP: Logged |
