SAO PAULO, Brazil - A woman in northeastern Brazil has given birth to what one doctor called a "giant baby," a boy weighing 16.7 pounds. Francisca Ramos dos Santos, 38, gave birth to the healthy boy named Ademilton on Tuesday at a hospital in Salvador, 900 miles northeast of Sao Paulo. He was the largest baby born at the Albert Sabin Maternity Hospital in its 12-year history, the hospital said.
"Obviously the baby was born by Caesarean section," hospital director Rita Leal said. "Both mother and baby are doing just fine."
Ademilton "could truly be considered a giant baby, for he was born weighing what a six-month-old-baby normally weighs," pediatrician Luiz Sena Azul told the Correio da Bahia newspaper.
Santos has four other children — ages 9, 12, 14, and 15 — who were born weighing between 7.7 pounds and 11 pounds.
"She knew Ademilton would be a big baby, but not this big" Leal said. "She, her husband and the hospital staff were caught by surprise."
The average weight for newborns in Brazil is 7.7 pounds for boys and 6.6 pounds for girls.

This one ( http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,8122-1448709,00.html ) from The Times says basically the same thing, except it adds: quote: Carmelina Fedele of Italy set the world record for the heaviest baby in 1955 when she gave birth to a 22lb 8oz boy.

I wonder if that kid has Jupiter Rising in his chart? If not, I'm willing to bet that Jupiter is strong in there one way or another. IP: Logged |

I tried to do a chart for the mini giant, the article said Tuesday= 18th Jan and I used Sao Paulo as birthplace altho it said he was born 900 miles north or something of it lol! Oh well....I got- Sun Capricorn Moon Taurus Mercury Capricorn Venus Capricorn Mars Sagittarius Jupiter Libra Saturn Cancer *Retrograde Uranus Pisces Neptune Aquarius Pluto Sagittarius (*Others all direct.) Well Mars and Pluto are in Sag (ruled by Jupiter!!) Here are the Major Jupitarian aspects- Jupiter Square Saturn 4°58 Jupiter Trine Neptune 4°04 Jupiter Sextile Pluto 4°48 Jupiter Square Medium Coeli 5°28 Hmmm... maybe the trine Nepune one?
