Everyone's probably heard by now that Johnny Carson died. Kinda made me sad. He used to come down to my home city (Fort Lauderdale) a lot, and stayed in a hotel just down the street from me whenever he came, the Ocean Manor. This is years and years ago, not now, heh. My grandmother was working there in the early sixties, as she leased out the hair salon there and ran it, and she used to do his and his wife's hair. She told me today that every morning and night he would knock on the salon's windows to say good morning or night, and would get mock angry if she didn't notice him. Anyway, it's really incredible, how people always suddenly remember every little detail of how a legend affected them or played a role in their life when that person dies, you know? Like when something huge happens and everyone remembers what they were doing. IP: Logged |

Yeah, my hubby told me when he got home from work. I am quite sad about it. He was neat-o. There's an announcer in heaven right now saying ..."HHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRREEE'S JOOOOOOOOOHNNNYYYYYY" IP: Logged |

Definitely sad news. I used to watch The Tonight Show with my grandpa when Johnny was on. What a guy, that Johnny!IP: Logged |

He also is a scorp. I feel the loss of a friend even though I don't know him. IP: Logged |
