I did fast once too, and it was also quite a wierd experience. What this guy wrote about is true, but what must be clear is how its used. I wouldn't go as far as saying those things about meditation and fasting as he did. Because I feel, if the mind is in a state of readiness, then too, the body will cope, including the mind. Its like regular eaters suddenly become fruitarians, and cannot cope, and common symptons recognised are of feeling 'spacey' in the head, and rapid weight loss. It's like our bodies cannot cope with the higher frequency of the food. You suddenly crave grounding foods like nuts, seeds, grains and breads. The state of mind must come first for the body to cope. I think the auther of this ebook also wrote about the affects of advertising and music, which I will find soon enough. How minds and bodies react to sound frequencies in a very significant way, and I suppose it's important to understand it in order it be more open minded. ------------------ "And dreams, don't ever forget, are the first step in manifesting wishes into reality"-- Linda Goodman's Star Signs IP: Logged |

Yes, indeed a weird experience. A definite 'spacey' feeling comes along with the rapid weight-loss and elimination of toxins. I think the brain does move into a different state similar to meditation. I dont think I'll do it again - for that long at least. I may do a two day fast every so often as I do think they are beneficial even though there is alot of controversy on that subject. With the fast I did they said that the craving for food would go away after a few days. But I never lost the craving. I wanted food so bad. I still cant believe a went through with it.And about the meditation. He kind of went against everything I have been told about it. To him it seems meditation isnt a good thing. Not necassarily a bad thing either but he didnt seem to feel to positively about it. Although I dont know if I jive with everything he said, I do find alot of truth in it and I'd love to read anything else by him. IP: Logged |

No worries I'll post more info from this guy where I can. I feel the same as you, he mentioned a lot of things in contrary to what I already know, but at the same time, there is a lot of truth in it, and I agree with heaps of things that he has stated. It's like some people who are very learned in one area, and then they think they know it all. Like, I read a book called Bad Astronomy, that exploded lots of myths, and it was a fantastic informative read, but then at the end, he tried to 'prove' Astrology was only myth too. His explanation was poor, and was really ignorant. If he just stuck to things he was educated in, he would have been respected more. ------------------ "And dreams, don't ever forget, are the first step in manifesting wishes into reality"-- Linda Goodman's Star Signs IP: Logged |

There's a show called Myth Busters on Discovery. They did an experiment involving speed metal music. The set up several greenhouses, all with identical conditions. Then, in one they piped in speed metal music continuously. In another they recorded themselves vebally abusing the plants and played it continuously. In another they recorded themselves sweet talking the plants which played continuously. Another they used classical music, and then there was a few control greenhouses. The idea was to test the "myth" that talking to your plants makes them grow better. The plants that were subjected to voice and metal music grew best. The ones grown in silence and classical music grew average. So speed metal makes your plants grow better. IP: Logged |
