Maybe it is that it is such a simple classic Hollywood money maker formula, but it got me.
The idea that this man who is a great 'dater' but not a good committer, has to woo someone everyday.. I particularily love the ending.
Maybe its that anyone who saw it said she is exactly like me..... I always get the Drew references.. it is more mannerisms combined with spirit and small pouty lips, angular face.... but everyone who saw it that knew me would comment.. wow, you look like drew, act like her too!
It's one of those wierd things that has always happened to me.
I friggin' love Adam Sandler's humour.
Plus, he's dorky/athletic-cute and I love that.

I loved when she was beating and chasing that guy who was really Sandler's friend.
Very cute movie. I like Drew Barrymore's movies. They are always fun.

Ok...I'm an Aqua Moon and have this movie at home, a friend lent it to me. Now I have to watch it.

Funny, all these references to us Aqua Moons lately and how standoffish we are in relationships, etc., It wasn't until I achieved a greater understanding of astrology to finally understand why I prefer to be single rather than bonded at the hip in a relationship.

So who else thinks his charactr in the movie had a Scorpio aspect somewhere? The Aries will pursue, but will give up soon enough, the Cancer is tenacious but not that romantic - only the deep dark waters of Pluto churn that much faith, strength and love!

Maybe he had Pluto opposing a venus/mars conjunction, maya.

I can totally relate to Drew's character. I have these intimate moments with people, and then its like I relate to them at a distance - I forget!!!, but, if they are the right person, I fall in love with them all over again, every time we meet, lol!

26, nobody said it wasn't stoooopid, or in poor taste.

Still, it had heart.
And, when a movie has enough heart,
you can forgive just about anything.

I think maybe you just weren't in the right mood. And I think maybe you were looking for something in this movie that it was never meant to be.

The first time I saw "Joe Verses the Volcano" I was adamant that it was one of the worst movies ever made. I watched it again some time later, just to confirm my first impression, and practically fell in love with it. The moral of my rambling? Expectations suck!

I hate to admit it, but, I expected so much of Fargo, I couldnt even appreciate its quirky style the first time around. I've seen it like ten times now and its one of my absolute favorites. (Granted, though, 50 first dates isnt even in the same category as Fargo, so, no competition there.)

Give it another shot, when you're in a lighter mood. Tell that Virgo moon to take a rest when it starts harping on the details. (That's right, I said it.) Listen to that romantic Sun of yours, and that delightful Mars/Neptune trine. I'm sure you'll be surprised.

K, HSC. I'll suffer through it again and maybe I'll change my mind. LOL! I just thought it was really cheesy. I didnt expect anything from it, I just watched it and after said, "That sucked." LOL! *runs away*

I LOVE Adam Sandler though. He's a NH native as well. But I think Drew Barrymore is annoying. Something about her.....and I think she's a bad actress.

I love Drew and Adam too! They have, to me, one of the best on screen chemistries!
The ending made me cry, was so sweet

That's right marcia. Personally I think Pixie is way sexier than Drew. Although Drew is gorgeous there is something annoying about her to me. Not pixie though.

It happens, you know; mars/merc in sag trine jup, etc.
I forget sometimes that I don't REALLY know everything.

I think Drew is more of a personality than an actress... Since the acting is so obviously hollow, I can see how, if her personality rubs you the wrong way, you're pretty much left in the lurch. Personally, I think she's cute as a button, but I doubt I could hold a serious conversation with her; without her face getting all screwed up, that is. Can I say that?

Yes, I agree about her being more of a personality than an actress. I figured out what is slightly annoying about her to me. And I say slightly, because really I dont find her THAT annoying, she just irks me a bit. It's something about the way she speaks, her voice or the inflection and the way her mouth moves. OMG, my Virgo's coming out! Noticing weird details. Yes, she's........cutsie, a goof-ball. I think Cameron Diaz is a better goof-ball though. And I wouldnt describe Drew as sexy. Angelina Jolie is sexy. At least you can see that her acting is pretty 'hollow'. I dont find any depth or convincing 'realness' in her acting ability or any of her characters. I'm sure she's really cool though! Nothing against her. As an actress she just doesnt do it for me and I dont see why so many people think she's so great...? But I'm sure we could all think of an actor or actress we feel that way about.
