Ah Ha!!! It's not a stupid thread. I would like to find a large, leatherbound book with parchment paper. Nicely crafted, unique, kind of like an old book of magic, but no words. I'm asking here first in case there are any folks here that make books. Thanks!IP: Logged |

I have a little journal that sounds like this. Oddly enough, I think it came from one of those HallMark stores, or a bargain store.. okay, so it probably isn't actual leather.. but it has that feel. It isn't large though.. it is about 6 X 8 or something.... Can you mke your own?IP: Logged |

Hi Philbird,I bought a leather bound journal two years from a French company called, Exacompta. Here is their website: http://www.exaclairinc.com/ourbrands.html The one I have is a refillable one with embossed patterns on it. The pages have gold edging. They have quite an extensive collection. Another special stationary company I like is G. Lalo: http://www.g-lalo.com/ The ink from felt pens looks beautiful on their paper. Aye, I've written quite a number of love letters on their products. Crane also has good distribution in stationary stories and I have been happy with their products as well. Here is their site: http://www.crane.com/ Good luck! Aphrodite IP: Logged |
