Sigh.... just watched "eternal sunshine of the spotless mind" ... loved it, just loved it.. so original... and romantic, but in a totally UNschmaltzy way

I love the concept, and the characters... i love their story. Its kind of a "gritty" romance - but somehow much more romantic than most "normal" romance films

And I dont normally like jim carrey but I really, absolutely, ADORE him in this - being the serious, morose guy really suits him (the capricorn sun's really shining there) and Kate winslet is just fantastic.... what do you think her character's sign would be - i see her as kind of an Aries, although Aquarious probably fits the "type" more...

OK -could rave bout this forever....anyone else like this film??

I looooooved this movie! I remember when I first saw it I raved about it for weeks. I relate a lot to Jim Carrey's character in many ways, the character's personality AND the wanting to erase the memories of someone and then realizing maybe that's not such a good idea. I had a hard time with Kate Winslet's character...I remember wondering if maybe she was an outgoing Gemini...hmm!!!

yeah I relate to him a lot too. I'm very "closed-mouthed" in relationships too (much to my downfall!) This is probably the first time I've related more to the male in the relationship than the female (in a movie relationship).

i like him like this, he seems more natural and kinda deep and sexy - i never could get into all that ace ventura/dumb and dumber crap!

I agree, Jim's Cap. tendencies shown through in the movie. But I really didn't like the movie. Even tho it ended "happily" I still found it depressing. And I was left with the feeling that they'll just break up all over again.

I'm a sucker for Jim Carrey dramas, as opposed to comedies. (Although I like them, too.) The man has some serious talent, but it's easy to overlook sometimes behind the glare of his antics!

I liked this movie, too. What I got out of it is that we're going to fall in love with the people we fall in love with regardless.
