I've seen taht eaiml too! It ralely was esay to raed! The frsit tnhig I wndoeerd was, why is dyslexia a problem, then? I don't really understand dyslexia, but I thought it was something like people having trouble reading because they see the letters in the wrong order. What is dyslexia? Has anyone experienced it or can anyone explain it?

I still remember reading a paragraph about the signing of the declaration of independence aloud in class in the 4th grade. When I finished reading a boy in the class said, "she kept saying singing instead of signing!" and everybody laughed and I laughed too, but I was really embarrassed! I hadn't even realized I'd done that!

Lemingtyne, I thought it had to do with seeing the letters in the wrong order too but then I found this definition!

" Dyslexia is a specific learning disability that is neurological in origin. It is characterized by difficulties with accurate and / or fluent word recognition and by poor spelling and decoding abilities. These difficulties typically result from a deficit in the phonological component of language that is often unexpected in relation to other cognitive abilities and the provision of effective classroom instruction. Secondary consequences may include problems in reading comprehension and reduced reading experience that can impede growth of vocabulary and background knowledge."

I guess the inability to decode the phonetics of a word could cause spelling order errors or backwards lettering, that does make sense! There's also a common signs thingie on the page I was reading: http://www.interdys.org/servlet/compose?section_id=5&page_id=44

Pretty interesting, I knew almost nothing about dyslexia! They also mentioned this and it sounds like me :
Dyscalculia - a mathematical disability in which a person has unusual difficulty solving arithmetic problems and grasping math concepts.
