I don't get it either, the website doesn't give any detail or say what it's about. IP: Logged |

Secret to success: Whenever confronted with two decisions, always choose action over inaction. I say unequivocally YES! ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." "I dare say you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." Lewis Carroll IP: Logged |

MotherNoreenie here.Ok, is the type of party where only the who's who is invited, where these guys go to clubs and check peeps out and then offer an invite, and anyone who gets an invite should feel really special??? And the party is at a mansion or yacht? Hey, go...have a good time.lol Just kiddin....ya know, when my daughter was invited to these, I cringed... to me, (remember, I'm ol'school, lol) its too fast paced of a crowd, I just picture these ol' guys wanting to mingle with pretty girls and whatever, the type of guys who in 25 years are still out partying.........but hey, to each his own....and I can't judge. I just didn't want my daughter being influenced this way.........make sense? Too much drama for me, lol. Anyways, I say go, have a good time, but be careful. ..........and don't be taken in by those pretty boys with all the money. hahaha IP: Logged |

Hey why can't someone who's 25 still be out partying? I think ANYONE shoudl be able to go out and party, as long as they're of age and they're safe and sane.Partying is about spirit..dancing talking laughing enjoying being alive...shoudl we just confine ourself to a wheelchair once we turn 25? ***ooops, let me clarify..I said (in) *25 years -from now* which by the way is fine.... the point I was trying to get across is that I don't care to have "my" daughter hanging out with rich 35-55 year olds, whose lives revolve around sex, drugs, alchohol, & partying hard......don't get me wrong, to each his own, I am certainly not one to judge how one should live....but as a Mom, I would just hate to see my daughter get caught up in a really fast paced material world, thats all. Btw, I'm 44, I party, I go out with the girls, I go to clubs.....I was referring to more Vegas style partying, where often it isn't safe nor sane....which simply ain't para me, lol but for some, hey.....right on. Hi y'all,Thanks for the replies. I ended up not going because my cat got sick with a case of the runs. I took him to vet on Friday afternoon and he's on an antibiotic. I wanted to stay in and keep an eye on him. I did get a chance to go out cruising down the coast for a few hours with a friend. He had a bad back and I had a sore stomach, so we pretty much cruised with the car top down. I was interested in going that party because I thought it would be cool to meet other people around my age range. I don't get a chance to meet other people my age because I work a lot and I am one of the youngest at my company. So work friends are pretty minimal. I had been to that restaurant before to eat, but not to party because I didn't know they had DJs on Saturday nights. It's apparently one of the hippest places to go in the city. Noreen, your point is well taken. I understand. Were you assimilating from the photos on the site? Le Colonial is relatively harmless compared to a lot of other venues that go on in the city. They cater to a yuppie crowd who are probably naive to the darker realities that go on in this world. Just a bunch of sheltered peeps having fun in my opinion. Kind of funny really. I grew up in several ghettos and am more street savvy than my looks appear. Thanks for caring, I appreciate it MotherNoreenie Thanks again Aphrodite IP: Logged | |
