Hi guys

I wonder if any of you guys can help me out...Why did JK name his band Jamiroquai?

I mean it is an odd name but what does it mean and where does it come from? Is it from some native Indian tribe?

It a word that you don't normally use in everyday language unless you are refering to the band.

I remember reading somewhere.. I think the album sleeves of 'Emergency on Planet Earth' which I lost somewhere in my trans-continental move... that it is from the Iroquai Native American 'tribe' and the 'Jam' bit is obviously the funky music element man!
Heard he's playing in London soon...
