Hi everyone!! It´s boiling hot in here, tomorrow I´m going on holidays ( Galicia, north west in Spain, just above Portugal) It´s my dad´s birthplace, he adores it, and me too actually. It´s actually the so called Celtic part of the country and reminds me of Ireland, where I had one of the best holidays of my life. On Aug 12 I´ll be moving to the States. I used to live there for 3 years and the travelling was one of the best parts. I especially liked Alaska, Arizona and Utah... What about you guys? Any particular place you remember fondly? I just love travelling ( my 9 house is empty, but gem cusp, which I guess likes moving and learning new languages, about new cultures etc) and I think the more you travel the more open minded and tolerant you become, it´s sometimes so easy to believe we´re the center of the world in our little neighbourhoods, as if the rest of the world were different and therefore a threat... OMG, I´m rumbling againg... Go ahead, I´d love to know about your experiences and your sensations when travelling. Have a great summer holidays, on the road or at home. Relax and Enjoy!! IP: Logged |

Waves. Hi elemiah. It's 120 degrees in Pheonix! Would you like to come back for a visit??? My favorite vacation is going to be in a few weeks or so when hubby and I camp in the petrified forest. You aren't supposed to camp there, but we're gonna take a couple backpacks and pretend we fell asleep in the forest. Kinda like Snow White! IP: Logged |

Hello elemiah ~Great topic! My favorite vacation spot was going to Quebec, Canada when I was younger to visit my mother's relatives (her side of the family). We stayed on my grandparents farm, had huge meals, built a dam in the creek to swim, chased fireflies at night, gathered the bundles of hay on a big truck, and visited with many, many relatives. Visiting the city of Quebec was also very fun and unique. Oh, now I am sad, I can never re-live those memories because the farm has been sold. Hey Philbird ~ 120 degrees!! WOW!! You know, when I was a teenager I went to Mesa, AZ. We visited Tempe and Scottsdale. I also went to Sedona. Went to a lake that was so hot at night it was like taking a bath. (don't remember the name of it). We're finally having 90-100 degree temps. here this week. IP: Logged |

I gotta go but I just wanted to read some of your responses, very interesting! Hi Philbird, have a great holiday in the petrified forest, it sounds really good. Nephtys, yes going on a holiday in a farm is awesome, esp when you´re a kid ( I used to do that as well, the house was sold as well, but memories are fantastic) Sue G. Ireland is just out of this world, I just love it, I don´t even mind the weather that much because it can get pretty wet where I live, Basque Country, as well. Irish people are unique, so welcoming and just nice. I love those jam sessions in the pubs!! Be well all of you. I´ll be back in a couple of weeks to check on you, lolIP: Logged | |
